Why do Terran wall off with the barracks in between two supply depots, rather than two supply depots below the barracks? I've noticed that Select continues to wall off beta-style in his MLG games and was wondering if there was an advantage to that style.
In the beta, players walled off with a barracks at the north side of a ramp, and two supply depots below it to finish the wall-off. Is the new trend in the metagame (barracks between two supply depots) better, or is it just a style difference?
Sorry about that

Because if zerg goes baneling bust, they can kill both your depots with the same amount of banelings. Satisfactory answer?
And no one has answered my question about my profile not being ranked yet >.<

Are the T builds in Liquipedia outdated? I see builds in there that look a little old. I am looking to choose 3 builds(1 for each matchup) to do as Terran and would like it if someone pointed me in the right direction as to which to choose. I am coming from another race so assume I know how to hit the buttons in the game to make dudes so I don't want to 3rax every game; I would just like something safe and solid, the equivalent of 2gate robo expand in PvT. Please and thank you very much to anyone who helps me.

how many shots does it take for a viking to kill an observer?? thanks!

Observers have 60 total HP/shields.
Viking's air attack hits twice for 10 damage each
So, 3 shots to kill a observer. 4 if it regenerates a single shield point during that time. +1 weapons guarantee a 3 hit kill.

When 7pooling zvz, what is more effective:
1. pulling all your drones with your lings and making 2 spine crawlers
2. pulling 2 drones with your lings and making 2 spine crawlers while reinforcing with lings from your main.
I'm guessing the answer is map dependent (please elaborate if this is the case 2player, 4player, scouted or not scouted, rush distance)? Or is there a definitive answer as to which is stronger?

What time can the first reaper come out in a standard terran build if he goes for a fast techlab? I have played too many games where my stalker gets to his base when his reaper gets to mine and it is killing me

scout with your first probe. If he goes quick tech lab, do not leave your base. You cant poke his ramp even if he went concussive instead of reaper anyway.

Hihi! I am an avid ex2:2 Terran player that recently has lost/is in process of losing "the fear" of playing 1:1 and I am trying to choose 2-3 builds for each MU. ( im high plat-diamond got promoted-demoted several times last season >.<, im in plat atm) Could you guys please help me decide on which are the most versatile - adaptive - not too micro intensive builds that I should start hard-carving into my brain?
Would you follow this format please? TvT : Build1 : example --- reasons Build2 : example --- reasons TvZ: Build1 : example --- reasons Build2 : example --- reasons TvP : Build1 : example --- reasons Build2 : example --- reasons
Thank you so much in advance!
My input or what I am doing atm:
TvT: Tank - viking TvZ: fast expo into mech doom push TvP: Bio - ghost- viking
As you can see these are but the most typical builds, thats why I need your help!

How do I get to the folder where all the replays are stored so I can upload them to SC2 Replayed?

edit: WTF????
i believe you're having an issue with the words "apr1l f00ls" getting auto-edited because of spoiler issues the other day, so that comments saying "apr1l f00ls" wouldn't spoil the joke for other people
and for people wanting specific BOs and strats, just browse through the strategy section and find some stuff, i recommend Synystyr's TvP build, and iEchoic's TvT build

I'm trying to find the post someone did a few months ago about general posting in TL forums and they provided and excellent explanation on how it was done, Day9 plugged it in one of his dailies. I want to find it and hopefully with permission post it on another forum that I use for another game where people just don't know how to use forums.

where can i find the brackets for MLG dallas with select etc?

thx carras
Q) in TvZ, if you scout your opponent and he has not built his hatchery at his natural, what is usually the best reaction to this? or at least what options do you have at this point? as far as i understand, this usually means baneling bust or roach rush... how do you play from here?
edit also:
Q) In the MLG competition, it has an upper and lower bracket. I'm familiar with this from the old CPL counter strike days, however i'm curious, what happens when the winner of the upper bracket plays against the winner of the lower bracket, and the lower bracket wins? do they play again, or is it a once off decider? reason i ask is because in classic double elimination tournaments, you have to lose twice to go out, hence if the upper bracket team loses the first match then they replay again, and the lower bracket winner has to essentially beat them twice. but maybe this would be bad from a spectator point of view, since it might be preferable to have a "winner takes it all" grand final game.
sorry if thats too long... thx

i think you would reinforce your wall and try to get siege tanks, which are obviously good against banelings, and also good against roaches because their range is so short.
