When you're moving out, either add a building to block the entrance to your base, or leave a Sentry behind to forcefield the entrance (the second solution requires paying close attention to your minimap). If you feel like the backstabbing army presents enough of a threat, you can use a warp-in or two to kill it off, though doing that also greatly reduces the effect of your attack.

Cheers for the last question, helped a lot But I'm having trouble with 2 base all ins from Protoss against me (Zerg). What is the best way of scouting it, and what should you do once scouted it?

Your composition sounds like a perfectly reasonable response to me. Maybe post a replay? thanks! i wont waste people's time with a replay, i made glaring mistakes in macro and positionning ("herp dep my army counters yours i can attack up that ramp"). it's nice to know that at least i had the right idea in terms of units.

Yeah, don't go up ramps against Terran unless you're absolutely certain you can end it, especially with those compositions. All of his stuff can be shooting while only a few of your Zealots will be able to be attacking at a time. I find that PvT, it's often much better to just deny expansions and starve them out than to try to force the game to end with a big attack, and any composition that includes Siege Tanks makes that even more true.

New Question 1: How do you properly micro ghosts? I have a hard time using ghost because if he's grouped with my main army, I can't stim without tabbing and hitting stim twice(once for marine, once for marauder) which makes my engagement awkward, and if he's grouped separately and i try to snipe or EMP some units my ghosts get killed first(observers, fungals)
New Question 2: Last game I played vs Zerg, i was ahead in supply and I drop-killed bases throughout most of the game, but I kept losing huge groups of marines to fungals, when I was fighting broods with vikings, they got fungaled. What's the best way to fight infestors?
1: it's more helpful to use 2 control groups, so you don't have to tab at all. 1t 2e click
2. Prespreads. In terms of positioning, you want a small group of marines leading, and the tanks with the marines behind them. Basically you want tanks to be more forward, and you can target fire the infestors while you stim and run your marines back. Once the infestors are dead you can run forward with the marines and clean up the broods if you have the numbers

Protoss here. Some things to watch for:
-High Sentry counts indicate a lack of tech, which generally points to an all-in of some kind, assuming he's not going for some kind of quick third, which will be obvious.
-Also, watch for fast upgrades. For instance, if you see him with real fast 2/0, there's an excellent chance it's a +2 blink all-in.
-Scout for proxy pylons with lings, etc. Obviously it's pretty late if the pylon is your first tell, but every little bit helps.
-If you can get an overlord into a decent position, don't be afraid to sac it. Look in the mid-back area of the base for gateway balls, as most players try to keep them away from the front where you can see them easily. Spotting a robo or twilight is also an excellent way to get a little more detail on which attack is coming, too.
As for your response, that depends almost entirely on what's coming. In most cases, stop droning unless you're very confident. If you spotted it before he moves out, spines should have time to finish and can be a huge help. Just make sure you fight under them and not out on the map. The units you want depend on the situation, but usually roaches and lings are a good basis. Stuff like mutas is too fragile for defense.

Is there an online build order tester that runs in a browser?
I know about YABOT and I googled qxc's build order tester but I'd like something that I can just run in the browser without any external applications.
I'm trying to figure out in what order I need to build things in my new TvT build which is 1 rax FE into 2 cloaked banshees. I want to take my natural as soon as possible and at the same time get my two cloaked banshees as soon as possible without having to cut workers.

That's really nice. Thanks!
I just wish it had some way to tell me that I can't have a build order that looks like this:
11 Command Center 12 Command Center 13 Command Center 14 Command Center [...]
I guess it's possible if you really cut SCV production but I wish sc2calc had an option "I do not wish to cut SCV production" or "let me know when I run out of minerals or gas", or something like that.
I guess the best way to test is to actually play...

(cant answer myself... I'm away from my SC computer). When PROTOSS is building something like a Pylon, does it build from 0-200HP and then suddenly get an extra 200 shields when it's done? I assume so but I forget and would like to know so I can figure out how much DPS I need to kill it faster than it builds.

There's this, but you only get 6 and then you have to pay to use it, haha. http://www.wizardofwin.com/

well when i look for a good pvp strat to train i find huks dt build, oz styl etc if i look for pvt i find 3-4 perfect opening builds but when i look for pvz i find just garbage that dies to 12min push or all in or somethign SUPER technical hardcore every build i find with search or guide are outdated and not have any chances vs new zerg styles
so the question: anywhere solid pvz builds to train and got better in that matchup ?

The shields generate at the same rate (for example 0-200) as the hp. If you're attacking something while it's building, it loses shields first and then hp like normal.

What is a good 'go-to' build I can use every game for PvP? Never really understood PvP...
|
If you build a rax at 12 and it finishes just after you've started your 16th SCV, is it better to cut this SCV for an earlier orbital, or let it build and get an orbital on 16 SCVs?

The two are correct, example, mvp make the 16th scv, and mma prefer orbital before the scv. but sometimes when u finish your rax and your scv is finishing is better to wait the scv and after orbitall.

If you look for Alejandrisha's guides, he has a couple that detail how to do that. My favorite is a fast Twighlight Council off of one gate, then go up to three gates and add a robo when you feel safe to do so.
Don't worry about not understanding PvP. It's a crazy hard matchup, and PvP theory is effectively a year behind every other matchup because of the 4-gate.

There seem to be a few other similar ones, notably http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=249772.
Timings seem very tight for it, so I guess I better get to work on it haha.
Thanks for your response
