Anoxys: Shield Upgrade is worth getting against both Terran and Zerg (unless the Terran goes for mass ghosts and EMPs the hell out of everything), but only after you already have +3 weapons and +3 armor. It's worse than weapons and armor, but worth the cost in the late-game. Actually, since the shield upgrade is cheaper now it is useful to get early when going for Stargate builds because it upgrades air and ground units. Also, 1-1-1 is better than 2-1 ups.

I realise that was a pretty complicated way to ask a simple question, but i maintain it should have a simple answer. TL;DR version - what is the benefit of spamming your keys, and is something every player does at higher levels? For reference, i'm a middling plat

Is this like some kind of warm up for your fingers? I tend to keep checking back between the nexus and my probe on 1, and gradually check it more and more often the closer it gets to completion (the way that day9 has suggested in a prior daily). But I have noticed that a lot of people there's this constant sound like they are just going 4e1114eee114e114114e11114e111114e114e111114e11144ee111444ee11 and then the better players tend to be setting up their F-cameras while tihs is happening. Is this a good habit? What is the functional purpose of spamming these keys at the starts of matches, otehr than making your average APM crazy fast. Do they have the key rebound to something else? or are they just used to pressing 0s9s8s for making scvs and scans? Pokebunny also does this, and I find it very strange i didnt play bw but as far as i know in bw the hotkey for building probes was "p". so it made sense to put your nexus on 0. in sc2 it´s pretty much the same. they are just used to it due to bw.

First, how do you "lock" the screen in one place, say your main, natural etc, so you can quickly go there to stop drops etc etc? Second, how do I go about taking expansions versus a fast expanding protoss, more specifically the third? I usually go 14/14 gas/pool vs toss because I don't trust them not to cheese (gold league reporting).
