It's entirely relative to the times you're queuing, your league, rating, region, and ultimately who happens to queue and your luck. If it's really an issue try playing at different times. There is no region/league with 70% zerg, that I know of.

First, how do you "lock" the screen in one place, say your main, natural etc, so you can quickly go there to stop drops etc etc?
Default, i believe, is CTRL+F5-F8

Is the game balanced finally?
It's always been fairly balanced, and balance issues aren't likely to be noticed by 99.5% of the players. Most likely what you, and other people, consider "imbalance" is substandard play.
What is the most common protoss strategy?
The <something>-fast expand. Or in lower leagues on the ladder; cannon rushes and 2-gate rushes.

I do take it you'll make other things than just stalkers and blink-micro them in the game?

Also if you are using any of your map vetoes on maps that are bad for your race, that can increase your chance of a mirror matchup (sometimes quite substantially).

A slightly more helpful answer is: Maybe, but if you get mass Blink Stalkers as your opening and/or midgame composition, you want to be upgrading attack anyhow. You often don't start defensive upgrades PvZ until you have +3 attack. By the time you're considering whether to upgrade shields or armor next, your composition will be a bit more complex, and it may make more sense to upgrade armor.

The problem with PvP is that you wont do pure mass blink stalker and if you do, attack upgrade is much better. Its like in PvZ, you'll want attack upgrade +3 before +1 of defence and once you're at +3 attack. Why you want tthat... because +1 attack affect all the hp of your opponent vs if you upgrade some type of armor you will only apply it to about half you HP. I doubt that you'll have a pure stalker army... Or if you do... you'll die to other things...
And almost all other protoss units have more Hp than shield so its better to upgrade armor over shield.
(And btw you dont want to go double forge in pvp since you will spend too much gas on upgrades and gas units are really important...)

In light of this (getting +3 attack upgrades in vZ and vP before starting defense), why is it so popular to do the opposite (even upgrades) in vT? Is that because gas units aren't as important or for some other reason?
Additionally, is there ever any reason to go for shields over armor in vT?

A question specifically to Protoss players but can be answered by all, how long roughly does it take you to hit 200/200. Assuming you haven't been harassed much and are playing a standard game.

The reason armor is favored over attack PvT is that Marines are the core DPS of the Terran army, and they do low damage, high rate of fire attacks. With Guardian Shield and an upgrade advantage, it takes a ludicrous number of hits for a Marine to kill a Zealot.

But that's what I said, sort of :S

If I remember correctly, I usually hit max around 16-17 minutes. I might be fairly off though. I also usually take a very quick third (9 minutes or so). Some other people may have different answers though.

If your ground unit is being lifted by an enemy phoenix, do you get the benefit of air unit vision while it is lifted?

How do you beat ZvP? Sounds like a wide question, but I have this issue where everyone Protoss I play against, they FFE, even on maps you generally can't (Xel, Shattered, etc.).
How do I punish them doing this and how do I beat Protoss in general? Against Terran, I just drone hard enough until he pushes out to which I can just make enough units in time to hold his push and redrone.
For Protoss, I can't stand outside his base and see his units, because he's always going to warp in stuff. How do I know when he's going to push? How do I stop it in time? Do I have to gradually make units each time I see him warp in stuff?
Please don't suggest me to take a really fast third. He either punishes them with an early push I can't prepare for ahead of time or I just overdrone and he crushes me with his massive force.

how do you find out zerg has burrowed banelings before you lose like 30 marines to a baneling bomb? let's assume you're not lucky enough to actually see zerg burrow them. are you supposed to blind scan ramps whenever you move out? if so, how many scans are you supposed to save to get all the way to the zerg third/nat/wherever you are attacking?

Depends on the map. Get one raven.
