You should be scanning to remove creep because you can't fight baneling speed on creep anyways. Two birds, one stone. Take unorthodox paths as well

Take unorthodox paths as well Most zergs won't burrow banelings on creep for that very reason. I facepalm everytime i forget that a terran will almost always scan to kill creep and kills my blings. Be wary of chokes and watch towers as those are hot spots for burrowed banelings. Advanced players may also put an overlord over them to bait units or try to bait your marines with their mutas.

Sounds like a wide question, but I have this issue where everyone Protoss I play against, they FFE, even on maps you generally can't (Xel, Shattered, etc.). How do I punish them doing this and how do I beat Protoss in general? Against Terran, I just drone hard enough until he pushes out to which I can just make enough units in time to hold his push and redrone. For Protoss, I can't stand outside his base and see his units, because he's always going to warp in stuff. How do I know when he's going to push? How do I stop it in time? Do I have to gradually make units each time I see him warp in stuff? Please don't suggest me to take a really fast third. He either punishes them with an early push I can't prepare for ahead of time or I just overdrone and he crushes me with his massive force.

My perspective as a Protoss: On maps that are generally considered safe for FFE, I think it's best to not try to punish the expand with early aggression. Either learn the timings to allow a fast third yourself (it really is possible) or tech to Mutalisk or Infestor. On Xel'Naga, I would seriously consider just practicing a Roach/Ling all-in and doing that as a response. It is incredibly difficult to hold if you don't have HuK-level control, perfect timings and epic building placement. Because your own natural is so hard to defend and a third is so hard to take, teching or taking a fast third aren't as good options as they are on other maps, though I've had opponents do both Muta/Ling and that Infestor/Ling timing where you bust the wall with Infested Terrans and flood Speedlings with some success. Holding a Roach/Ling all-in is just so hard on that map, though, that I stopped forge expanding on it ages ago. How you beat Protoss: That's not a simple question with a simple answer. The way you know he's going to push is that he sends his army toward your base; we don't actually warp in our entire army at the front line all at once. You shouldn't gradually build an army so that you can always take his army in a fight; that goes counter to the structure of your race. You need to drone as much as you can and then flood units right when you need them for attack or defense. It's possible that your opponent is faking you out by pushing out but actually expanding or teching behind it rather than actually preparing to warp in a big wave of units, but unless you know that's what's happening you just need to treat every move out as a potential attack and build enough units to hold it.

I'm gonna go ahead and quote this as this is pretty much what I asked, but in a more elegant and professional way. :E
