Its still generic. They also play with American/European players so the term transfers over. Its known by almost every player.

Will B-Net ladder AMM match you with people on your ignore list?

Regarding PvT, How many upgrades does a colossus need to 4 hit marauders or two colossus to 2 hit marauders?

yes, it's happen to me before, during game their messages wont be displayed but if you watch the replay they will be lol.
I've ignored so many fucking asshole players that my blocklist is full, but you can get around this by reporting the player as harassment as well and it'll still block them.

Colossi need to stay one attack upgrade ahead of every armor upgrade a marauder has to four hit it.

Why do I see top players scout after gate in PvZ? Doesn't that auto die to 6/7 pool?
|
I´m working on my Protoss 4 Gate Rush as it is shown on the strategie side. I make one exception to the BO. I go scouting after 9 Pylon. I make the first of the two chronoboost on the nexus asap after the 9 pylon finishs.
My question is: When should i make the second chronoboost? After the 14 gas? If I do it earlier is there a way not to "waste" time of the chronoboost?

No, with decent worker micro and chronoboosting your first zealot out, you can hold off a 6/7 pool. The small economic advantage you get from scouting later might be critical when it comes down to certain timings in the build orders of the pros.

What happens if you drop a nuke inside a vortex? Would the vortex suck the nuke in, and the resulting explosion would result in a massive quantum field overlapse that will destabilize the very fabric of reality?
|
new question as far as i can tell
i would like a way to quickly unselect a unit from a group of units...
situation: grab 6 drones to maynard and send 2 to each of the 3 close mineral patches at the nat
typically i will shift click the units out and send the smaller group to the next destination shift click out 2 more then and send the smaller group to final destination
i want to do this with my army the drones are an example Hotkey?

Pretty much.
Being serious, the nuke will land normally and if the units aren't out of the vortex yet, then it does no damage. Same nuke mechanics really.

Shift clicking the actual unit will deselect it from the group as well as shift clicking its portrait. There's no actual hotkey that you can use to do it for you.

Why do I see pros lower depots when they're being attacked by banshees or mutalisks?
Oh, and to answer my own question from a while back, the default hotkey for autorepair is Alt+R, which I couldn't find anywhere in the help, but someone on someone's stream knew. Similarly for enabling/disabling other autocast abilities (zealot charge, etc.)

Didn't know about the auto repair hotkey. Thanks!

Post in Tech Support, probably won't get your answer here.

The way to do this with the fewest actions is send all workers to the first gas, shift click 3 times (or 2 if your terran), send all workers to the 2nd gas, shift click 3 times, send all workers back to minerals. The second fastest is to spam click the 7th (or 5th if you're terran) wireframe until you're down to 6/4 workers, send all to one gas, shift click 3/2 times, then shift click to the second gas.

Forgive the potential sillyness of this question, but is it always safe to download a replay from someone? Are some sites that have them more dependable than others? Any sites to be wary of?

I completed all 50 of my practice matches ended up 30-20 or something like that. I did my placement matches and lost all 5. I am having a really hard time in the Bronze bracket 3-14 something terrible like that.
My question is this do you think it would be a better idea to keep playing in the ladder losing and learning watching replays or should I practice against the computer?
Does your record reset when you move up a bracket or will I be stuck with all these loses even if I some how manage to get decent and move up?
Thanks
P.S. I guess this isn't really a start question sorry.
Heatly -
Just to add to what's been said before. I agree that it makes sense to keep playing ladder matches. But I wanted to add to that because I think that's not the answer you need - yes, it's good to ladder, but that might not be all, and it seems like you're just getting frustrated with it.
HOWEVER, hope is not lost! It would also make sense to look up some guides for how to improve at Starcraft. Starcraft is a hard enough game that it's possible to get stuck at being not very good for a very long time if you try to figure out everything yourself! Especially when other people have just 'looked up' strats and build orders and tactics. I suspect that if you're going 3-14 in Bronze, then you haven't been introduced to the very basics of how to get good at Starcraft.
Someone in a previous question asked for a "starcraft 2 beginners guide" and we gave him this response:

Is there a "noob strategy guide" with the total basics? (like not "how to build", more like a "dear noob, what you should know about SC2" ) Questions like: How many workers at an Expo? I just played some games and I overbuild workers all the time ... Lost the last game with 3k minerals / 1,5k gas ... i have a very similar question. Sorry if it's a stupid question, but is there like an online SC2 'bible', i.e. some website or book that covers everything from the basics to how to play the match-ups, different tricks, etc. liquipedia is cool, but i dont really know where to start. i guess the strategy guides you can buy in stores dont even scratch the surface... if not... why not! Try Day9's Newbie Tuesday. Also for each match up, just pick one strat and stick with it. You aren't going to win every game, but in early leagues it's all about learning macro and management. It doesn't matter if you can pick the ideal strategy and counter build if you're sitting on 2k minerals. Specifically, for a basic intro, try Day9 daily #132, titled "Back to the Basics". It can be found by going to day9tv.blip.tv and going to the "episode archive" link on the right; all the dailies are numbered so it's pretty easy to find. If you want more, watch dailies #252 ("Secrets of Hotkeys, APM, and Mouse Movement) and #258 ("Newbie Tuesday: Refining Mechanics") and #261 ("Newbie Tuesday: Mechanics #2"). If you like day9, it's informative check out his dailies on occasion, especially his Newbie Tuesday dailies; however, he does like to chat and talk and joke around and if you don't like his humor, I suspect that the dailies will drag on too long for you.
The latest daily, #269, "Newbie Tuesday: How to get into SC2!" might also be good. It talks about how to make getting into competitive Starcraft II *fun* and not a work grind.
As for the losses - yeah, they'll stay with you... but they don't matter. Actually, with an upcoming patch, I think Blizzard is just going to stop displaying losses for everyone except the top 200.
Just work on improving and focus on the wins!

Hey,
what's a good response to a 3 Gate + Starport/Robo opening as a Terra? If the toss scouts with his first stalker a few marines, eh will go 3 Gate Robo (Colossi), if he scouts Marauder, he goes Stargate(Void Ray). Gate composition: Few Stalker, many sentries, many Zealots.
Maybe a propper executed 3 Rax with Bunker? Failed three times against the build, but last one was close and the only game i went 3 Rax opening (but fail execution) Thx for answering.
