Baneling/roach. With zealot/archon you don't make sentry, which means you can absolutely SMASH protoss army with banelings and roaches. Don't ever engage that army with zerglings tho, make as much of them as you want banelings.

What is the difference between a 13Gate and 14Gate? I have been able to produce probes non-stop with both, so what's the difference (especially in PvT)? I have tried both pylon and gate scouting.

I ask specifically about PvT because PvP is retarded and I only ever see 14 or 15Gate in PvZ when the toss is trying to afford double assimilator before core, which then it makes sense to delay your tech slightly so everything lines up nicely. Am I wrong about this assumption? Is there another reason a protoss would 14/15 gate in PvZ or any match-up for that matter?

Another guess is that they want to wait until they've scouted the zerg to decide if they want to straight up nexus first or forge or whatever, and so delay their standard gateway timing. Total guess though, and if that's the case wouldn't it be a lot safer to make the 13 gate blind, and cancel in favour of nexus/forge after scouting?

Used search function, didn't find the most elaborate answers.

hello. i recently got demoted from masters to diamond, i seems my bonus pool got "paid out" as it went to zero, my points rose the amount of bonus pool i had, is this supposed to happen?

also, ever since this happened my bonus pool has not been rising, any explanations? And no its not just a visual bug as i dont get bonus points for winning

Master League gets more bonus pool than Diamond and below-- so when you get demoted, your bonus pool is reduced to the amount it would have been if you had been accruing it at the rate of a diamond player all season. In a couple of weeks you'll start getting bonus pool again.

I've been 1st place in my bronze league for more than a month and I'm being put against gold players and winning. Why haven't I been promoted to silver yet?

The ladder system doesn't really care about how much time you've been in a league or up against a certain opponent, but rather, how many games. Check out this comprehensive league and ladder guide for in-depth info, but the short explanation is you need to play more.

How should you deal with a 2gate zealot rush if you have your hatch going down? Should you cancel your hatch, or what? This is assuming your hatch is 3/4 done and you are 15hatch14pooling.

Pump zerglings and work your way up to roaches, don't be afraid to pull queens or drones to defend. If a protoss is going 2 gate, then they are delaying their cybernetics core for sake of applying pressure, so if you skip ling speed and go straight to roaches you should be able to hit your opponent before enough sentries/stalkers are out.

One strategy popularized by SlayerS was to go for a (Wiki)Reactor Hellion Expo, then have the barracks make a tech lab and swap the barracks to the reactor and the factory to the tech lab (after you have plenty of hellions) and begin researching blue flame, double pumping marines, and getting medivac support. This gives you a large number of hellions that get blue flame, and a fair number of marines as well as a pretty quick expansion and a fast starport.

Is there a way to make my keyboard create a unit when pressing the bottom down, and then another when I release it? It seems like the pros can morph/create units extremely quickly. Thanks.

Oh hey I can answer this.

The difference is this. Assuming you 9 scout after pylon, you cannot continuously chrono probes and build a gate on 13. With a 14 gate, you can chrono the probes twice without cutting any.

If an immortal has +3 Shields, and is under a Guardian Shield, how much damage will it take a per shot until it runs out of shields?

Shield upgrades take effect before Hardened Shield such that the damage cap remains at 10. Guardian shield, however, does stack.

Examples:

Thor fires, dealing 30 damage. +3 shields reduces it to 27, then damage cap reduces it to 10, then finally 8 with guardian shield.

Hydralisk fires, dealing 12 damage. +3 shields reduces it to 9, no damage cap takes effect, then guardian shield reduces it to 7

Marine fires, dealing 6 damage. +3 shields reduces it to 3, no damage cap takes effect, and then guardian shield reduces it to 1.

Set the repeat rate (when you hold down a key) of your keyboard super high, then just hold down a key.
