What probably happened is your MMR climbed its way to a plat level while you were in silver, but never stabalized for long enough to consider a promotion. Then, when it did happen, it rocketed you staight to plat. If that didn't make any sense, you can read more about how the ladder works here.

Say you're horizontal positions (NW and NE). You send out an early scout from a NE position. He follows the path through the middle to the NW position. But, if you send it out a bit later, and the terran has completely walled off, he will follow the topmost path to the opponents base, revealing both that the opponent is in that position and walled off. Has anyone else discovered this?

Has anyone else discovered this? This has always been around because the path-finding of the game ignores what you can or can't see. It doesn't really seem like a big deal to me, though, because you need to scout them before they wall off (or at least, a zerg does). I'd think if you sent your scout after the opponent had already walled off, your not going to scout anything anyways.

I thought Q was only for custom games and N was for ladder... Now that I think about it, though. I think Q is a certain time super early on in the game, for whatever reason.

I think standard they're something stupid like ctrl+F5 - F8, then ctrl+shift+F5 - F8 because of hero units in the campaign. Rebind them(set location 1 - set location 8) to crtl+F1 - F8, or if that reach is uncomfortable then shift+F1 - F8. Also, you'll need to set "jump to location 1 - jump to location 8" to F1-F8.

There is a bug on Nezarim Crypt that forces you to hit Q to quit instead of surrender. It may or may not be on some of the other newest ladder maps. All the maps that were on the ladder pre-patch still have the standard F10 - N

I usually go 3 gate sentry expand build but after i take my second i find that im floating quite a bit of minerals and gas. Just curious as to: how many robo/gateways/starports i should try to support from this situation? Are they all the same? (IE do robo bays/gateways/starports require the same amount income to support for constant production) If not what are the ratios between the various buildings?

On Xel' Naga, the second cannon goes in your mineral line (or right next to the Geyser). (IE do robo bays/gateways/starports require the same amount income to support for constant production) If not what are the ratios between the various buildings? Against Zerg playing 2 base turtle Protoss (Colossi + Stalker + Sentry) from 3 Gate FE, you would have 4 Gates, 1 Robo producing Colossi, a Forge, and a Twilight Council (when getting your third). You get your third around the 10-12 minute mark. Once you get your third, you may either add 1 Stargate (Void Rays) and get +1 Air Attack, or add a second Robo bay for double Colossi, while adding a few more Gateways. If you have excess resources, you may also get a second Forge or Dark Shrine.
