If you feel like there's no reason for you to play anything but dragged out macro games or two base timing pushes, there might be little reason for you to learn anything but FE builds. But if you feel like you want to mix up your play-style and add in some rushes, strong one base timing pushes, different harassment builds like hellions, banshees etc. You might want to add some of these other strategies to you arsenal, and therefore give you a few more options on how you would like to play each game. In the end it comes down to what you enjoy when you play the game.

Can't speak for TvT or TvZ, but at least in TvP 1 base 1-1-1 all-in builds are still insanely strong. You should definitely have that in your arsenal especially at lower levels of play. Also 2 rax tech (i.e. fast medivac) is also a really strong build that's safe and can easily punish a greedy toss (eco-greedy or tech-greedy).

Is 2 gate robo more viable now since it should get sentries out early enough to hold off 4gates?? Then 2 gate robo also naturally translates to Colossus? No one knows yet :p But honestly PvP hasn't changed that much, 20 seconds is not a huge difference especially if you rework your chrono timings. Don't get too fancy early game, just do what you did pre-patch and you should be fine, although now you can be a little more greedy if you're planning to defend 4 gate. Mid-game chargelot/archon is now an extremely powerful army comp (pre patch it was already pretty good).

I have tried mutas but they don't kill them fast enough and 2-3 infestors can take them all down if they clump up. I assume broodlords would work but obviously you have to get through midgame first.

Infestors are really good. In early game if you have mass lings, just run around the roaches and counter attack. Never attack into them.

Try the 2-rax, three marine, scv all-in on small maps. 11-13 rax, soon as second marine pops you go leaving other marines to follow. Make your CC an OC so you can drop mules to resupply.
