However we were vastly outnumbered during the TLMC by those who never opened the map editor and voted for a map just because the textures looked cool or it was a 3p map or "lmao 20 bases, I love me some more bases. DAE Alterzim stronghold ? xDD" Sure foreign map aren't auto awesome but "our" TLMC and other map making contests are open to koreans while we can't even try to get our maps in the GSL (and let's not talk about trying to get them into Pro League) "Vote results of TLMC said everything:you guys just simply dont like interesting maps" This sentence would be true if you posted it on the "New WCS 2015 Season 1 maps" thread in the Sc2 general forum or on reddit. | ||

And unfortunately that's our main issue with all those maps and ppl/ blizzard judging. | ||

At least of a casual low level player like me, I don't understand the mentality of wanting to play the same thing over and over again. Might as well just play a MOBA if you want only one map ![]() For pros its a bit different, because they need to have near perfect understanding of a map nearly instantly or they're career suffers, but at the lower level I'm into trying new things. Not bad maps, but different ones. | ||

They should be able to put in time into understanding completely how a map works and, by doing so, gain a slight advantage.
