No new maps ? Not yet. I will upload more maps when I fix the logo and the loading screen. Cause if I upload, lets say 10 different maps now, I will need to reupload all of them anyway just to change the logo in each of them. Also , what about a skype chat for easy chatting ? The microphone hole on my computer is broken so I can not talk with people. Which makes me feel a bit handicaped. Is there no IRC or something we can use here on TL? Like a channel all of us who are active can lurk in in case we need to communicate with each other in a fast way? Its water. Just remove water on them Mereel sent me new version. | ||

OG just has a skype group which works pretty well, so I'd recommend something like that for the entire sbow community. Its just text use, so no mic, no problem. Really a lightweight program for chat like IRC would be fantastic if only everyone would use it. | ||

To create more prestige about the rankings, I suggest that the leaderboards gets updated weekly on the top of the Starbow thread. That should create a good incentivize for people to continue to play Starbow and improve at it. Maybe we can also seperate it into two divsions so lower level players feel "welcomed" as well. | ||

- Zealot bug fixed (now deals proper damage) - Zealots, Marines and Zerglings have no attack delay anymore. (December is looking at an other micro solution) - Stalkers strange second ability removed. (It might be added back into the game in the future in some form, if needed) - Stalkers still start with a weaker version of Blink. Can now research an upgrade that improves Blink. - Zerglings attack speed nerfed from 0.502 to 0.55 seconds. (Based on the discusson in the thread and in PMs to me by the current best players) I did not find a solution to the Warpgate animation bug, nor the Stalkers moonwalk bug. XiA is also helping me to write better tooltips. Some of the Zerg ones are now updated with proper information and better english. @Place to communicate Anyone wanna "organize" a Starbow-channel in Skype, IRC or something else? @Ranking system I agree, it would be nice if we could get that to work. I think some have tried to look into it in the past, but not found a super solution. Maybe a program outside of SC2 must be used? No idea how to create that though. | ||

Overall its a 2dps nerf~ I think he miswrote, correct zergling attack before were 0.502 i think. | ||

(Based on the discusson in the thread and in PMs to me by the current best players) Ye, that was however based on the games I watched w/ Zealot dealing half damage (and only too a lesser extent Speedling vs Marines). Anyway, let's test this and see how it works out. I guess we can always revert it if protoss now becomes too strong early game. | ||

Couldn't you just download an open source ELO ranking program from GitHub or something (e.g. https://github.com/johnmyleswhite/Ranking.jl). Or alternatively, the Galaxy editor can store persistent data in .bank files, so it's probably possible to build a peer to peer ranking system. | ||

The old system we had in place was just awful. I built a new system in a custom mod that is a lot better. How it works without delving into the technical details. A zealot on a-move will miss if the target is running away when he starts his swing. If you move your zealot right next to the target first he will not miss his swing. So a zealots max range is a bit bigger than the default .01 melee range, swinging at around .4 or .5. So if you micro your zealot right next to a target inside that .4 or .5 max range your target won't have time to escape a hit. This replicates the BW dancing a lot better, but it might not be necessary and might be over complicated if the sc2 system feels just fine. Speed differences are far more important. I recommended to Kabel that we see some PvZ's first to see if reworking melee micro is necassary. I specifically worry about Zealot vs Hydra micro. | ||

But we need someone who knows how to work with triggers regarding bank files. If someone can send me triggers that will change ranking by lose/win, I can program the ELO math. But I'll need a good basic set-up. Like triggers that gives the winning player some value and takes some value away from the losing player. Then I can reprogram the rest. @ Skype gourp. Most people just use it for chatting (typing) anyways. IRC is such a hassle to get people into. (imo) I'll be playing/casting tonight. Also, according to Dec it should be possible to update all maps (regardless of how many you have) on both servers without doing them individually. I might be wrong here. edit: @ Logo I asked my cuisine to make the logo originally because there was no one trying to make a new logo. He is quite busy and did this in spite of that. He is "done" and the four last logo's I posted are his final work. If we decide to use one of them with a slight change, I'm sure he'll do that, but he does not have time to rework it drastically. | ||

There was actually pathing (areas in which units cannot move) in some of the natural bases, hence the "big tanks". So I doubt the tanks are too big.
