EDIT: Would moving the curroptor to lair be balance or design? Not saying it should happen but that it might be good if toss air turns out to be imba. Playtesting will show.

(source: from watching+ Show Spoiler + Oh nvm they can. To nerf PF, I think, reduce it's damage to like 30. Over the time that it takes to kill (or not kill) them, PF's themselves actually kill a crap ton of stuff, especially with the tendency to not declump. Making attacking into a fortress more lenient would be nice.

Most terrans are just trying to end it mid game if they can, or are just going pure mech. I have some new ideas for playing tvz but I havn't had the time/practice partner access that I would need to fully explore it's viability.

Now perhaps they actually should, but instead of showing up as one icon with the number that are buildings, they all show up as numerous, separate icons with "1". That shouldn't be the case. ![]() Plague should never be a glowing medium-light red light, but rather either bloody deep (not too dark) red and scary or actually look like a cloud of horrible swarming insects, one or the other. EDIT: Does Infested Creep spread benefit buildings on the creep spread by overlords, so that spine crawlers can deal 20% more damage with their attacks?

Cause they are standard abilities already in SC2 or BW. Here are the ones I did not add (plus some other stuff): Terran: Stimpack, Siege Mode, Cloak for Banshees, Yamato Gun, Vessel detector Protoss: Zealot no charge ability (Just bonus speed), Blink, morph into Archon, Observer detector, Warp Prism field, Reaver build scarab, Carrier build interceptors Zerg: Zergling morph to baneling, ultra no splash damage, Brood lords new attack.. (Could find a way to describe it with few words..), Overseer no abilities.. Overlord drop? Maybe it would be better I if included it, so newcomers do not think Stalkers do not have blink or firebats not stimpack... hmm.. hmm

- How do you all feel about the pace of the game? Especially the economic development. It feels smooth to go from one base to two bases to three bases to four bases? One base play is impossible? Everything takes forever? Or it is a good development between units, economy and technology? It feels enjoyable? It feels horrible?

Going from 2 to 3 bases is hard, and it should be. It is one of the complexities of this game. Learning when to take your third and fourth is an important strategic choise and should not be easy. Do not make it eays to take a third or we might end up in the current sc2 metagame. What worries me the most is people "figuring out" SB to the point where everyone goes for the same builds because some builds turn out to be too good. So far, that is not happening, but it just might. I don't mind strong builds however, and periods of some builds dominating as long as there are reative minds out there to make counterbuilds or a nerf if needed. My 2 cents.

But yeah, I rarely see anybody but me doing this stuff and while I do have high success with cheese/all-in, that might be because people are not used to the builds, so who knows? As far as economy goes, I wouldn't say it's slow-paced, I really enjoy it. Adding additional bases also feels quite natural, though that might also have something to do with that I played Starbow quite a lot now and just got used to it.

It feels smooth to go from one base to two bases to three bases to four bases? Smoother than on sc2 if you want to ask me. At least there is no point in game when you stop producing workers cause you wont have supply for army. One base play is impossible? It is probably bit less viable than in sc2 but i think there are still some options, openings, allins and cheeses enough effective to feel that pressure, tension. Everything takes forever? Yes. I dont know who else noticed this, but games are looooooooong. Gameplay got slowed down a lot in last month or two, due to combined effect of units move speed/ attack speed "nerf" and economy change. Timings i had around 7:30-8:00th min got delayed to 9:00-9:30. Most of games are 20-30mins long and some are even longer (40min is not that rare). SC2 is more passive, thats true, but thats all due to current metagame. I loved first days on sc2 cause everygame was brutal, violent and FAST. If i had 30mins to play i could spend that time to play even 4 games! Right now sc2 is boring cause everyone goes for "macro games". I find starbow to be more stable due to all defensive mechanic (which is good), but overal gameplay is much slower (which is not good, at least for me). Or it is a good development between units, economy and technology? Few buffs here, few nerfs there. Nothing we wont handle with small balance changes. I feel that Z is teching bit too fast, compared to other races, but well.. That costs a lot and maybe it has to be like this. It feels enjoyable? It feels horrible? Im not enjoying sc2 at all. Im considering not to buy HOTS, while year ago that would be no-brainer. Im playing Starbow exclusively, so that means i kinda have to enjoy it. There are changes that i like more or less, but i feel like we are slowly getting closer and closer to what starbow should be. In general, I think we cheese to little because there is no ranking and we are all so manner. I always feel bad if I win after cheese, but some cheese mught be broken and we should explore that aspect of the game as well. I dont find any cheeses to be bad mannered. They are part of game, and i enjoy just good games. Action is most important part of sc for me. I dont mind getting cheesed or cheesing people. Cheese and all-ins ftw But yeah, I rarely see anybody but me doing this stuff and while I do have high success with cheese/all-in, that might be because people are not used to the builds, so who knows? Exactly. I dont like all that hate against cheesers. "L2P cheeser" >.> Im cheeser and im proud of that :d. Im gonna cheese in starbow too like i did in sc2 ^^.

With the Starbow pathing it is much easier to stay split vs banelings and infestors for the MMF, mass lurkers can be dealt with by adding vessels or very few tanks. Or just go Mech and try to have enough detection.

Cheese was a part of Proleague/Starleague and OSL/MSL tournaments and stuck by the premise that cheese was risky play that was typically much more likely to cause a loss than a win for the player executing it if the cheese was found in advance. The sc2 complaint is that cheeses (not so much) and all-ins don't really play by this rule. Defender's advantages such as high ground and the warp-in mechanic with proxy pylons were one obvious part of the problem. The one exception for me is SC2 cannon rushes, which I despise because of how much stronger they are against zerg than they were in Brood War. I think I once heard a debate from someone who said something made them tougher in BW (!) but whatever it was, I'm sure it doesn't alter the sheer fundamental differences in cost and strength of the involved units & buildings between the games. I think our cannons are more like BW ones and the zerglings are sort of half-way between, so I reckon cannon rushes are more likely to be a proper cheese with higher risk than those of sc2. Oh, by the way, Donnie Darkos (DT) seem really weak from all the matches I've seen. Not in damage output, just their ability to be caught without dealing much damage.
