Switching it to CK or Korhal Compound would be neat as those maps are very new for a lot of people to play on even if we have seen them in tournaments. I agree, I`m sick of metalopolis and don`t like it as a map either. Korhal would be cool, I love that map.

Icculus, or anyone except Blizzard itself for that matter, can't do anything about the popularity system making playing them without supplying your own group of players impossible. I wanted to post in this thread just to say that the Blizzard UI miming of the PeepMode maps is amazing. I think if you modularized it off from the rest of the map (which you might have done already) and published it as a library or mod for other maps it would be a gift from the gods. There's a map boundary limit. Even if you used the maximum size possible, you couldn't fit two Blizzard maps on the same PeepMode map. You can do a lot with triggers, but you can't break map size limits and you can't alter the Terrain.

The game runs slower and slower (frames per second). this happened to a friend of mine. i didn't notice it cause i play with all settings to the lowest. And when you watch the replay, it freezes for about one second every 10 seconds, every time. So the replays get ruined.

I'll be making some other optimizations soon, so hopefully any lag or slowness will be mitigated. TBH, it's fine on my (fast) machine. I'll also be updating the map pool soon, removing gold and adding maps. Lots of work to do this weekend while watching Winter Arena ![]()

![]() The only problem I have is, that it's not possible to only see they view of player x after you watched view of player y. Not a big deal though.

Hang out in the TangStarcraft or Diamond+ Practice chat channels and you'll find people who want to play on the other Peepmode maps.

I guess it could just be bad internet/computers but seems strange that they would play the game at all if ti was that bad. Doesn't seem to be random either as I play peepmode all the time and have never lagged out ever. I always attribute it to people having subpar machines/internet connections. I've never lagged out of one but it seems like if host waits for the game to fill at least one person is going to drop or lag is going to be intolerable and the lagger doesn't trigger the timeout window so we all just leave. I've only once seen lag when the map was launched with 7-9 people. After 10 it seems like there's always at least one lagger. Maybe it's something with the map design.

![]() JPoPP: Everyone runs at the lowest common denominators' machines on bnet so you just need to play with folks who have good comps. I don't want to nerf the code (nor optimize for the sake of it) for older comps. It would take too much time. battyone: I've been in many games with 14 players and 0 lag. There just happens to be folks with bad machines or bad connections in the larger games you've joined I think. Sated: The rating system in PeepMode replicates the Sonas rating system used in Chess. Please google that for more information but basically if you play someone who's close to your own rating, you gain max and they lose max (like 5.0), but if you're far apart, it diminishes (till 300 apart or so and then you don't gain/lose anything). So if you think about it, two people who win/lose against each other would just trade those points back and forth and not get anywhere. If one let the other win it would take 60 games (3 mins minimum each) and around 300 you'd stop gaining/losing. I don't think it's easy to exploit the Sonas system. I'm hard at work on updates...some good stuff coming folks!

Yeah I figured as much, that as the number of players increases the probability of a Fisher Price My First Computer goes up, I tend to launch with 8-10 but i've been in lagless full ones. Excited to see what you have in the pipe, awesome mod!
