PeepMode is a melee spectator system that builds on features of the popular 1v1 Obs and iCJug maps. Players compete in 1v1, 2v2, and FFA matches (KotH style) while everyone else watches, bets, discusses, etc.
FEAUTRES * 14 players * 1v1, 2v2, FFA * King of the Hill (KotH) style match selection (crowns designate winners) * Auto Cam follows the action for you * Global rating system (carries across all PeepMode maps) * Graphical team selection * Custom name panel by HanzoSC2 * Declare your league (optional) * Zoom camera out to desired level * Cinematic observer mode (removes UI elements) * Standad Blizzard Observer UI * Cinematic chat, silent chat, other chat options * Betting system * Live stats with helpful coloring (toggle simple/advanced stats) * Detailed event log with filtering (including match history) * Sortable leaderboard * Unlockable avatars * Voting and personal options * Detailed Help system * Store to buy aesthetic upgrades ("Bling")
im curious how you've done the global ranking as far as i know all you do is update it with players playing together. meaning you will only have ranking of players you've played with and who they've played with and so forth.

or did you work out a better way?
This is global *rating*, not global ranking. I had the same question about iCJug "global ranking" then realized it's actually not quite as advertised. Blizzard won't allow access to global player information, so until then the best I can do is global ratings but only *local* rankings for the exact reason you point out.
perhaps being able to, when starting the custom game, choose between modes or vote, might be the best option.
Something really special you have here though. Would love to see some proper production group use this map in a tourny for obsing, and added camera views. Would be awesome

I've never been a fan of 1 person out of 14 deciding something for the entire group. A design goal was to have "democratic" options. I could make an alternate version where an administrator chose options, but that would be more for tourneys I think. Once you play a game you'll probably see that match modes happen naturally based on who wants to play and on what team(s). I'll keep my mind and ears open about this though.
This map is fucking amazing. It crushes the 1v1 OBS map on the frontpage of NA to oblivion. This map SERIOUSLY needs to be up on the front page.
Can I post a suggestion? You should have only one peepmode map, and have it switch between maps depending on which you select at the beginning. For instance: You start in black space, and the players vote on a map to play on. In between games, you can change which map you play on without having to start a new game. I don't know if you can do this though.

Thanks I'm glad you like it. I am hoping to get this on the front page...I just need to get in touch with the right folks. I'd love for Day9 or Husky to do a review...have not been able to reach them yet.
Great idea about multiple maps (and something I wanted to do from the start), but unfortunately Blizzard limits map terrain sizes such that this is impossible....not likely to change either.
At least there is a cross-map rating system and aesthetic consistency to tie them all together.

I suck at 3d model-making, but if someone wants to whip up a high quality shark with a frickin' laser beam attached to its head, I'll put it in the game

Thanks for this bug report! These issues are now fixed. My apologies to anyone whose games were affected. If anyone notices any other issues, please let me know asap.
