* New name panel by HanzoSC2 * New maps: Entombed Valley, Korhal Compound, Daybreak * New avatars: Probe, Phoenix See www.peepmode.com/changelog for full details
I will be launching "1v1 Obs - Map of the Day" along with web-based voting system this week.
While allowing pets that have been killed by observers to respawn is great, some observers abuse that and repeatedly kill the pets that respawn in the base and do it all throughout the early game. Although hilarious, I found that it can be quite the distraction. Hope you can look into that!

The new overlay and the quick panel are both AWESOME!
ThomasR: Haha I was thinking folks might do that. Not sure if I can change the click-to-kill functionality but I prefer the current situation over your pet being killed for entire match. Anyway I'll look into this.
Map is good. recurring problem (and feel free to call me a moron if its been fixed, haven't been on in a couple days) is that a full 14 player lobby has awful lag every single time. not sure if it is a bnet .2 thing or what.
again, sorry if it was on a previous page and i missed it.

My bet would be to remove the Critter - EXPLODE behavior, haha. It's set to apply the Suicide effect if a player clicks on the unit 30 times consecutively within .5 sec of each click.
JcGuiao: You can see player stats in a couple of ways: (1) by opening the Leaderboard (Alt + L) and rolling your cursor over the names or (2) You can go into Options > Names and make sure "Show Tooltips" is checked. This will allow you to roll over the names in the Name Panel at the top of the screen to get stats as well.
I setup the system to be flexible so you can check on how it works by clicking on the little "i" icons at http://www.peepmode.com/maps. It's currently setup to not allow map repitition.
In a nutshell: Let's say a map was #1 wayyy above the others. The most it could be featured would be every 3 days.
Has anyone else gotten the problem where the "Cancel" button disappears when "Advanced Avatar selection" is selected (and you've played a game)? I have to switch it back to basic avatar selection if I decide to sit out the round.
Maybe it could be possible to ad a "max 3 games in a row" option, because sometimes there are master players that go like 8-9-10 games without losing, making circulation sooo slow. Other than that, great work dude :D
I could add that feature, but some players might feel the opposite way, and also I don't think I've ever seen a game of PeepMode go 8 rounds, lol. Usually they last 2 to 4 and then everyone quits and starts fresh anyway. I'd just recommend going to a new lobby if you don't like the situation in the current game.
Hey icculus, is there a way to view the global ratings outside of the game? Could you add the current ladder to your peepmode website? I hate the blizzard ladder for the inability to really see where you are. It'd be nice if you could for this one! :D
Yeah man I was thinking the same thing. I didn't personally write the encryption library I use for securing the Banks and in order for a web-based solution to work, I'd need to implement a version of that library that runs on Linux. I have contacted the author of this library and hopefully I'll be able to work something out with him. Each player would be required to upload his "PeepMode.SC2Bank" file in order to update the central registry, though.
Another option is an in-game "viral" ladder, but that seems like a much less attractive option to me, so I'm going to try to avoid it.
I have been putting a lot of time into this project lately and people in my life have been telling me I need to take a break, and I think they're right. So this is something I will look into a few weeks down the line after taking some time off. I will of course still be rotating maps, fixing bugs, and answering questions, etc
murphs: What do you mean? Like your other apps stop sending/receiving? I don't personally have any experience with or data on that...
