before you go any further, you need to make the map symmetrical for the sake of balance.

i respectfully disagree that maps should all be totally mirrored

the difference is really negligible and can be tweaked after thorough testing

Can you mathematically calculate every potential advantage that one spawn can have and then mirror that level of advantage everywhere? Or is one player spawning in free-win mode fair?

the maps are always works in progress until the map maker gets bored and starts another...

i should have answered, it's just i have such a sweet answer

the maps i do are downloadable when tested vs cp or other
they are accessible, that is my only goal

as for competitive, let's have your 2 cent on what that encompasses
for me i agree "there is no such thing as a perfect competitive map."
and

i thrive to please, please my player friends, the 3v3 neub, the scbw crowd ... anyone really

and i'd rather start out with "feeling or flavor with no real technical objective in mind " maps
to get to naturally refined ORIGINAL maps as i pile them up

in short : they are downloadable, what people do with them is up to them
(just remember to credit the creator of said map and don't leave your bag in the station cause we will not be liable if you got it snatched while you were reading this post)

As much as it is a good idea,I doubt that you can satisfy all three sets of people there unless you make a map thats better than BGH,but its a challenge you can take as motivation.

3v3 then?
one on an island and the other two on ground
i suspect i'll go for 1v1 (my favorite) on a 6 start locations (including island)

in any case it's at a planning stage, bases must be resized and reshaped

What I mean is that you make a whole bunch of maps expecting people to like it and when they point out the problems you just reveal a new map with the same problems,you don't seem to be learning from your "mistakes"(double quoted because you believe there are none).I understand you don't really like standard maps(by this i mean standard custom maps like iCCup maps not blizzard maps) but there is a good reason why they are played more.

People here are not posting in your thread to say that your maps are "bad"(I don't think they are) just to discourage you.They are giving criticism because they want you to be a better mapper.

if they didn't they wouldn't even post here.

Look man, you've been churning out map after map, and tbh, none of these maps look even remotely finished. You need to put more work into your maps before you release them. Take a look at some maps like, say prodiG's. When you see his maps, they look like they are actually finished, and like a lot of work went into them. Your maps all look like you made a first draft in like 20-30 minutes and then posted that first draft, and then any critisism you get you always just say "play the map before you comment about it." That is just dumb. Why do you expect people to play maps that look like garbage, when there are plenty of maps out there that look like they actually took some work to make.
