I play this with my friend all the time, so much more fun than Starcraft 2. Starcraft 2 is a frying pan, and each army is a stick of butter. You put them next to each other and turn the heat on(1A) then you wait to see which one melts first. That is what SC2 combat is like.

Did you see the HOTS custom ? Its so sick.
Can you make a mix of HOTS custom and sc2bw ?

you are perhaps missing the dependencies. i dont include all the mod files with every release because they are quite large. you will need to get the latest sc2bw release for the latest data and then go back and find all the mod files. custom assets1 and 2, music and so on. these need to go in your starcraft 2/mods/ folder. you can follow the publishing guide in the OP for more detailed information.
i recommend getting version SC2BW v0.974b for the data and SC2BW v0.97 for all the custom asset mod files.

Some bugs to note:
- Eggs can be rallied.
- Reaver attack tooltip says it can shoot air and ground.
- Bridges at Destination have strange footprints: you can wall each of them with a single Gate.

Hi,
I am the leader of a new mod : a partial conversion of the original game. I would like to use some of your models which ones are used in SC2 Brood War.
I am very interested in the dragoon, the arbiter, the corsair and the shuttle models.
Could it be possible to have your permission to use them in my own mod please ?

Don't know if this has been mentioned before but vulture micro doesn't seem to work.

it's extremely difficult. b.net lag makes it practically impossible. but if i loosen the boundaries on what you can do with them things start to get silly. if you play a local game with no lag you should be able to do it to some extent.

No new models coming any time soon? like spine colony, dropship, devourer, and some some zerg buildings?
EDIT: and tileset. The brood war tileset you used were AMAZING.

Played a game against a friend yesterday and I was just wondering are the medics accurate to BW or are they slightly broken? It seems like they heal so fast that multiple dragoons couldn't kill a single marine. I know the old school medics in other sc2 variants are really cheap so I was just wondering. Otherwise really cool

well dragoons do explosive damage, meaning 10 damage per shot, not including armor. medics heal 18.75 health per second. so it seems accurate. i tried for awhile to get the medic healing rate correct. it should be close if not exact.

Do any fixes for the AI exist for Me vs. 1AI? I was cleaning my house and found SCBW cd in a box. I don't have the original sc1 to load first, so I tried this mod as a substitute. It is a blast (great work!), except...the AI doesn't do anything. They one base with 30 workers on a single mineral patch.

apart from rewriting the AI there isn't much i can do. i tried to learn galaxy a few times and had minor results, (i could get the AI doing pretty basic build orders) but there were way too many anomalies that i didn't understand and i couldn't get it to do much else.

I download the mod files and place them in the mod folder of SC2. E:\Spel\StarCraft II\Mods\mods\SC2BW
I have these files.
SC2BW_-_Custom_Assets_1.SC2Mod SC2BW_-_Custom_Assets_2.SC2Mod SC2BW_-_Data.SC2Mod <-- This one is from the latest update, v.0.974b all other files are from v0.974a. SC2BW_-_Music.SC2Mod
The Sc2BW maps are in a folder on my desktop. When I open one of them in the editor, the following message apears:
Dependency data could not be loaded.
Dependency file could not be found. (Mods\SC2BW_-_Data.SC2MOD) Local file is not available. (Core: a required object could not be found.):
Continue anyway?
I choose "Yes"
In the editors menu I choose "File" -> "Dependencies".
SC2BW_-_Data.SC2Mod is there underneath Liberty (MOD) But its name is invisible/blank.
I choose "Add other". I try to add any of these files:
SC2BW_-_Custom_Assets_1.SC2Mod SC2BW_-_Custom_Assets_2.SC2Mod SC2BW_-_Data.SC2Mod
I click "Ok" and an error message appears:
Dependency data could not be loaded.
Dependency file could not be found. Mods\SC2BW_-_Custom_Assets_1.SC2Mod

One more question though:
I am learning the editor day by day but I am still not so good at it. I would like to use some spells and units from your map. Is it any effective way to add them to an other map, or any specific tutorial around to see step by step how it shall be done? (I will of course give you credits!)
