When start the game, there are nothing. only darkness. i thought publisher make some mistake, so i did it at first hand, but result are same. ![]() there are only darkness. no command center, no nexus, no hatchery. NO VISIBLE THING i like this mod, but now there are no way to play this mod on KR server. | ||

scarab of the reaver fly ! For exemple, if the reaver are in hight ground they can shoot down directly and it's very good ! xD | ||

Most of the time I'm using Maur maps, but i'm not sure this it the latest version. | ||

unit clumping isn't too bad if you have unit selection limit on and pathing bugs out alot of the time with "pushing" (units can't push each other around) causing them to split up and run random directions. so i think it's ok for now. the only solution i will consider right now for unit clumping is 8 direction movement. which i have working. but no way to deliver it without causing extreme. unplayable lag. and yea. tassadar has permission. he wanted to change things. i have no problem with people using my mod for their own projects aslong as they ask first and give credit somewhere. | ||

I played broodwar when I was 11 or 12 years with my friends in pc-bangs - but it was always only for fun, I have never played it seriosly or on the competative level. Last year the friend of mine gave me a present - SC2 cd which I installled and started to play. It was interesting but the real thing came when I found out the existance of the professional scene, e-sports itself. I learned all the big names, started to follow tournaments and so on - got hooked to say it simply. The next level for me was the discovery of the professional BW-scene which was and still is the basement of all world`s e-sports. There has been a lot of rumours lately about what game is actully better - BW or SC2 - and to tell the truth I didn`t know the answer - I had a feeling that SC2 is so immature and in several years it is going to be different, close to perfectness in its balance and design - just like BW. But when I watched Blizzcon and the announcment of the new multiplayer units - something broke in me. Can`t tell exactly why - maybe because of the casual units or overall unchanged design, but I felt like all this machine is moving in the wrong direction, SC2 is never going to become as great as BW used to be. This morning I thought that I should try and play SC2BW. I played against the computer and but it wasn`t difficult at all. Then I wrote my friends and invited them to play some 2v2. God, how beautiful it was - so interesting, so slow, so right. The battles went on and went on, even the process of creating of your own army by clicking on all the production building was entertaining. Great! Thank you for this treasure-modification, this is what sc2 is meant to be. I believe that SC2BW one day will become bigger and louder than SC2 just like DOTA grew out of WC3. Of course I am not comparing DOTA to BW - but seeing the parralel in their ways. SC2BW has to be an underground game in the world of the big brother. Tell me please, how do you see the future of SC2BW? What are your plans? What else do you want to add to the game? Do you know any tournaments held for SC2BW? Do you need any help? Thanks! | ||

glad you enjoy it 7erojananda most of my plans for the mod currently have fallen flat due to them being impossible (better ranking system, better models/effects, encouraging people to play). i have a half completed micro training map which combines many of the old BW micro maps. such as muta micro. terran build order. marine vs lurker. theres a vulture micro one in there too. but im not confident it's bug free yet. updating the map is a gigantic pain which really REALLY demotivates me to release updates as it means spending hours getting everything ready for other realm publishers and even publishing myself since SC2BW spans almost 15 maps now. looking at the hots stuff... it's nice. i guess. im just really annoyed it's taken them so long to release the art tools. my main reaction to hots was kinda funny. it looks like they've just brought back BW units.... but changed them slightly. i know blizzard has massive pride issues. if they cut something they wont go back on it as thats admitting defeat. this flying defiler and not so great lurker is pretty much the impression i got. changing them just enough to make them seem like new ideas. but not really. same with the funky looking goliath (i dont mean funky in a good way either) i havn't made up my mind if im going to buy hots yet. i dont really agree with how Blizzard does business right now. but i guess we'll see. i dont wanna let this mod die. i feel like i've done all i can in terms of the gameplay. unless hots changes/lets me do more. im just hoping i will be able to do stuff like proper global ranking for all maps and such. i'm really hanging for the art tools so i can do custom effects/particles. higher quality models would be something i want to strive for also. Gna did a great job. but the current m3 plugins just dont let you do very much right now. i guess what im saying is SC2BW for WoL. i can't see many updates coming right now. i dont have anyone doing new models and i can't think of ways to improve the gameplay beyond what is currently released. just have to wait and see how hots changes things. hopefully for the better. | ||
