not all that easily. due to battle.net publishing limits my mod is split over many files. which you have already seen.
to copy stuff out of it you'll have to dig around and find the models/sounds/textures. then the data relating to it and then maybe theres a trigger or two to finish it off. but it should all be in there.

So because I play SC2 but want to play BW, but the current MacOS doesn't support it anymore, I have been playing a little of this... and its amazing <#

I don't know how to do the ranking though?

as far as i know Gna wanted to do more with the model than he has with previous models but hasn't been able to with the current tools. probably waiting for HotS like i am.

I don't know how to do the ranking though?


ranked only works with it enabled and in 1v1. it's just standard iccup ranking system.
i dont think it's broken although i havn't checked it in awhile.

it's going to have a proper fully supported art tools. so 3dsmax plugin, probably one for photoshop too and some other stuff.
im also however hoping for more improvements to the editor. mainly features. hopefully they will make the game more customizable than it already is. thats what im hoping for anyway.

is it possible to make costum units potriats (3d) i have heard people dont have the sc cam support but if you get infestor model (or anything else) and than remove the infestor head and replace to a costum head i think you have support if you do it so

you can't do portraits because you can't import the camera object into 3dsmax.
so if you imported the infestor portrait. replaced the head. exported it. it'd be missing the camera object and not work.

nice mod but in my opinion you need the next fix than its completely

-new probe model
- new arbiter model (with thruster)
- zerg buildings ( defiler mound queen nest nydus NETWORK (not worm) sunkun spore colony)
- devourer model
- more die models
- new tank model with the curio shock cannon in sc 1 (the morph tank to siege is in the editor(name tank morph) you should alone make a siege mode model, tank model and siege morph to tank mode )
- better dragoon texture (the shield and the dragoon group icon) the texture you now use is a hall of immortall (dragoon death model too but thats not so big problem you can make the dragoon death bigger with the x-y-z axel)
i think these are good change

and if you have time make for my dragoon warp in model (than i can use youre dragoon in my mod and not a immortal hall model) (you could post it on sc mapster .com (assets)

and the 3d models if you do it and export it and than in the previewer set the camera object on ready

good news the reaver and corsiar model (and guardian and defiler and al other zerg models) will remake by blizzard

and are availible in the editor (like lurker- tauran marine)

GREAT GREAT MOD! <3 playing BW on my SC2 every now and again feels sooo goood! I hope SC2 will eventually reach the complexity and awesomeness of BW because i love the scehne of sc2 but i think BW will stay the better game 4 ever.

Remade by Blizzard? Where you've heard that? And if they remake them, they can be different from SC1 version

Oke wait, i mean the models you Can make ( its a feedback) but i dont have said make it fast for my its alone an idea!(except dragoon warp model)

And the reaver-corsair wil remake in the hots editor but not availible in campain-melee like now in the wol editor lurker and tauran marine (its not sure but, blizzard said they wil remake the reaver. And corsair is alone a sound availble but, i think blizzard have remake them and its avalible but blizzard forget to inpot them in the wol editor)

and in hots most sc 1 zerg come back in the hots campain

thanks for all the effort and work once again!

I have some bugs though, don't know if it's been addressed before for SEA maps:

1)Extractor is free
2)Lings can slip through too easily, works the same with probes:

3)If i have a speedling I can just right-click it on a worker with no micro and it will kill the worker. I can't do that now.

SEA is out of date by a version or two, i recommend playing on US. it's the most upto date.

just on a side note. i started a job as a web developer recently. i've been thinking of applying what i've learnt there to SC2BW for a web based ranking system.

the way i see it working however is you'd have to have the website open while playing. or at the very least open it when you want to update your stats (the bank file would save your recent games, the website would scan it and retrieve this information from it)

but thats semi-annoying, i dunno if people could be bothered.
anyone have any thoughts on this?

can i ask if it's possible to change the ling, to a more "dog-style" model? lings from BW seems more fierce, when they attack

If people would play it, i would be intrested to play this aswell, i have just recently bought brood war, but graphics bugs and game freezing just makes it impossible to play.
