I think this is really rad. I like the gameplay in Brood War better than that in StarCraft 2. However, I think adding some of the new mechanics from SC2 could make for a pretty cool game. Things like units moving for one another, the new additional macro mechanics, no solid black fog, simpler wall building, that sort of stuff. Less a total remake of Brood War in SC2's engine and more a hybrid between the two games. Maybe even try working in some of the new units.

I don't know if doing that would be easy given the work you've already done or if it would be even more work. Sounds like even more work, if I had to guess.
And isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean, all you get is one trick: rational thinking; but, when you're good and crazy, ooohoohoohoohoooo, the sky is the limit!

i have many random plans i can't decide on which to do.
sc2 pathing and black fog i can work in as lobby options.

new units. if i ever did such a thing would be maybe a seperate map. i also wouldn't replace. but it lets me be more creative i guess. my idea for new units would be a new tech tier. units would not be stronger than maybe mid game units. but would hopefully change the dynamic of the game.
but yea that'd be a seperate map/idea. maybe one day.

If you ever start with scbw and sc2 combo, i would make a statue of you. Period.

As for the balance in such a game, Does your thoughts lean more to BW or sc2? i mean for example, cliff vision. Which way should be more viable to you? not starting about ballance and stuf, but just something simple as vision up a cliff allready seems dificult.

We need the Terran and Zerg music file mods (Mods\SC2BW_-_Terran_Music.SC2Mod or something like that) or the dependencies will refuse to load =(

This is exactly what I want. In fact there is already a SC2-BW combo map out there, but it sucks badly. One based on this mod would be so much better!

I would lean toward the SC2 macro-mechanics (I like larvae inject and chrono boost), but keep the BW cliff vision. Since SC2 is based on broodwar at some level I don’t think balance would be that bad. And potentially it would have more variety and options than either SC2 or BW.

I played a game on destination, and the bottom spawn, natural is too small when playing Zerg. Doing the wall ins.

Question, how do you change the setting so that the sc2 mechanics are disabled? I think that should be added to the OP if possible.

EDIT: k i feel stupid since MBS and limitless cntrl groups are in the lobby, but I didn't see automine/smartcast options there. where are they?
also i think you should be able to combine like 5 archons to make a really really shitty oliver stone film - Keanu_Reaver, bw balance genius

Destination is a very experimental map. i've barely done anything after converting it. it needs significant improvement. but it's "playable" so i added it.

The Queen looks great, and I'm also very interested in how the CC is coming along. I just hope it doesn't look silly, it's one of my favorite BW structures.

Im on EU Server and sadly there are only 3 maps of the newest version. I WANT MORE!

I found a different problem with stasis field than before. The field itself is big enough now but units can still move through it. This is particularly noticed on ramps that would be blocked in bw but are not in sc2bw.

Also workers should still move through units when clicking on a geyser that does not have any extractor on it. I tried it earlier with a probe and it just sat behind my zealot wall despite clicking on a geyser down the ramp which I had vision of.

Since you have been dedicating some time to destination recently, can I ask if the burrow trick still works/can be ported? That and any sort of worker surfing, can they be replicated?
