One of the first TD maps out of the beta is now one of the most popular!
So, here's a thread for this cute little map and some strategies to defeat it.
What openings do you like going? I'm favouring the splash cannon + basic tower straight up, followed by an upgrade and a second cannon, although I'm divided as to how to set up later on to handle the bosses.
Edit: Don't post ideas if you're only playing on 80%-90%, thanks.

Too easy, start with multiple basic towers, usually 3 or 4 upgrade them a few levels then go splash cuz thers almost always a ton of leakers so you need that to take care of the extra spawns you get.
I usually keep my anti air tower overlevelled and only one of them so that it can kill the air round in two shots and then keep my basic towers at the minimum level to catch low health leaks from the splash tower. Ice towers are important and aura towers are good but only late in the game. Other than that yeah nothing special.

Really nice map, in my opinion. I like the adjustable difficulty and the general flow of the levels.

Played it during beta, was ok. Usually it ended up being the two guys in opposite corners getting level 3+ cannons and the other two not knowing what to build and leaving because they couldn't kill anything after a certain point. Haven't played it recently, has it changed at all though? You mentioned the basic towers (the bunkers?), are those even worth building now? I found them pretty useless after like level 3.

Balance is atrocious, you only need Splashtowers and occasionally AA. It´s supposedly Coop but it really means "kick the weakest link or loose". Other Players can´t and shouldn´t help you or the other way around.

game has not been updated for about 30+ days and once beaten its not that fun

Pretty boring map. I just Made 1 splash tower and upgraded it over and over until it got lv 7 while getting air towers. ended up with like 6800 kills.

it was ok completed it early on , wish it would drop down the list already

Are there like 4 clones with very minor differences out now?
Red, green, blue, black. Did I miss any colour?
And in all of them the splash tower is overpowered.
It is also easiest to beat if you have 2 people leave just as the game starts, at opposite corners.
Edit, I realise it is an old thread. But it felt better than making a new thread.

All the TD suck balls, I don't know why nobody has made a decent one.
For a TD to be fun it needs:
1. Simple enough that I can go in on my first game and not LOWTFBBQ
2. First wave or two need to be SUPER DUPER EASY, new players are figuring out the controls and where to build/what does what, dying on the first wave is a sure sign someone has no idea how to make a TD.
3. ALOT of towers and choices. TD with 9 different types of turrets that all just fire at different rates is the lamest thing I have ever seen, yay, lets figure out which one has the highest dps per cost... Aside from the standard towers you always see (slow/aoe/sniper) a really fun TD will have towers with all sorts of cool abilities and upgrades. WC3 had some great TD with towers that gave you life when they kill/teleport enemies/give synergistic buffs/debuffs/charge up on kills/poison/stun/deploy minions and all sorts of combinations of these. I'm gonna fucking kill myself if I see another tower called "splash tower", have some fucking creativity.
4. Fuck flying enemies, they're retarded.

Vexal Tower Defense is the only one I can play anymore. The first few waves are easy, it takes teamwork to beat the later levels, two races and alot of different towers, a hero tower as well. It's alot of fun.
