Its a setting under view... I don't remember which one it is, try toggling them. Can't check atm, sorry

It's called "Lock Game View Settings", you can enable it simply by pressing v.

@bask, I just don't feel like opening the editor for every tiny answer which I can even recall pretty accurate from the top of my head.

not atm. Blizzard has said they won't allow "roll" unless there's "a demonstrated need", so probably never. Its hard to demonstrate a "need" for something like that.

ah. i just want the city billboards to be parallel to the terrain walls. it seems like they are always leaning forward a bit. kinda annoying when i want them to be perfect, but its not a big deal.

Might've been asked before.
How do I turn off certain doodads such as the arrows for birds and cliff zones or other not-walkable terrain signs?

EDITED, I fk'd up on what I needed to know.

if you mean that you just wish not to have them displayed, toggle the proper settings in view (list of objects displayable), lock to game view settings is the quickest answer...

if you mean you want to get rid of them, select proper layer / select / delete

if you want to "change" a doodad, besides in build variables (by blizz) you can change, you'll have to resort to an outside editor.

1. Is there any function that's like "Any player in a player group"? Can't seem to find it. I've discovered a workaround using comparison conditions like Or -> Triggering Player == Player 1 from Player Group, Player 2 from Player Group, but it takes a lot of time, so just wondering if that function exists.

1/usually blizz prefers to make it long (each player with his own trigger), as "any" player is applied to axioms in the game, not to variables users are bound to want to change... however copy pasting and "saving as" so as to produce a clean usable template for all your future mods (tweaking then required for each final one) saves a lot more of time than you'd think ...

2 and 3/ I don't know yet (the blindly try everything one by one with test / result (over and over) is always doable if you're thorough and practical about it), sc2mapster tutorials have all the answers on lobby and related stuff, the search function should quickly direct you to those pertaining to your questions (or pm someone you fancy has already done it), then it's up to you to comb through the different tutorials...

galaxy is cool but purposefully not user friendly.

it does not bode well for blizz to sell an editor that can potentialy produce so many different kind of games (not only sc2 type)... they sell games... it's counter to "regular" marketplace policy...

you should treat blizz's sc2's galaxy release as the only real statement (serving the "further implementation" implies nothing, worse it seems a naive pun...) .. they're really good at this, all the way back to the w1 shareware, they set the bar "we will release the editor"... just imagine if they hadn't... (we were fortunate to get any level of accessibility at all in it is what I'm saying)

Thanks for your fast response. I followed your advice and made a template. I can see how easily it may come in handy for future use.

Anyways, anyone has a solution to my second question? I've been seeing more and more maps have this black screen thing and I think it's just a simple camera function that I can't find.

what is the name of map where i believe up to 8 people can "race" around a square track that spawns different units every time you reach a corner of the map? i cant find it anywhere and i know that raelcun and alot of casters played it all the time in the beta. please. help me find this map.

i suggest you make a proper thread, since advertising here might not be enough for people to help you find it (the "front page feature" on tl is useful because the mapmaker or players knowing the answer will definitely see it and, your thread issue resolved, your thread will not be unnecessarily bumped further (hopefully) )
