Did you actually check who's participating? There are 24 top KeSPA players, including those who beat several Code S players already. Then you have 18 foreigners which will be happy to take few games and only 6 non-KeSPA Koreans who aren't all top in GSL. Few have some chance but against 24 people it's really small chance.

Nope, all but 6 non-KeSPA koreans declined the invite. There will still be Alicia, MC, OZ, CranK, PuMa, and aLive participating in the tournament. None of which are on esf teams.

All but 6 . . . 5 people declined . . . 8 invites in total . . . these numbers don't make any sense either way
"All 6" - but there were 8 invites?
"All but 6" - but if 5 ppl declined and there were 8 invites doesn't that means that all but 3 declined?

8 people where invited, 2 declined (LosirA and MarineKing) because they were on ESF teams. The other 6 are either owned by non ESF Korean teams, foreign teams, or are team-less in the case of CranK.
There are still 6 Koreans going to the invitational.
Seriously, freakin detective work just to make sense of that weirdly worded paragraph.
Everyone forgets the rule: All Koreans All the time
KeSPA players showed that they are on the cusp of overshadowing the GSL players in the recent WCS Korea. They are going to demolish foreigners not named Stephano.
I really want to see SKT T1 Rain (by.Sun) go against Stephano, what a PvZ it will be.
I initially voted for MLG to take this but i did so not realising stephano had pulled out and the non kespa korean pool was so small, I really dont get the distribution of seeds being 12 NA 6 EU and 6 KR, If Taeja or MKP were in this then I would definitely bet on MLG but as things stand I'm fairly certain Kespa should take it. Seeing how he crushed his group, and what fantastic form hes in at the moment, SKT T1 Rain is probably good enough to take this whole thing. The tournament had real potential but there are several issues stopping it from living up to that potential.

No what WCS showed was that there are indeed a handful of great SC2 players in Kespa, but that says nothing about the overall skill of Kespa. Players like Rain and Roro are playing amazing games but among most of Kespa the skill level is still a bit lower than that of GSL players and even some of the better foreigners.
as it happened in sc1 and bw, its inevitable the dominant force of korean talent will slowly emerge as the best, and dominate the scene from this point on. KeSPA rising, some big big talents from bw are bound to make new history in starcraft 2 as well. one can only hope best for the foreign players as these talents take over and it becomes harder for foreigners to win tournaments, let alone compete. the cycle of the past is returning. even though esf players may had the lead in developing their game, kespa players are incredibly, incredibly talented and this is only the tip of the iceburg, so i say KeSPA.
