Well anything can happen since the list of MLG players include 12 NA players for some reason. MLG is a US based tournament i know, but giving EU only 6 is super wrong if we think about skill =)

I agree, I think it should be 24 Kespa, 24 GSL, 24 MLG players and make the tournament longer.

KeSPA players as is go about 50/50 vs. Code S pros.

Most of the field in this tourney is foreigners; NA ones at that.

They also seem to take everything absurdly seriously and will probably prepare extensively.

Do the math. KeSPA players will crush.

It would be close if the only americans involved were at the level of idra/scarlett/sheth. Even in that scenario we're talking about a favourited Kespa group. Same applies to European players not named Stephano, though some players have shown to put up a good fight recently (duran-duran). I put down this 50/50 as fanboyism, nothing wrong with it, because I also want to see foreigners succeed, it just sadly won't happen.

If it were all NA player then yes, Kespa guys would just roll over it leaving everybody under the impression only one team had access to the game beforehand. But in fact there are 6 EU and 6 top KOR on that roster. They will put up a fight. I mean MC, Alicia, Alive... If it's this team league elimination style thing these 3 alone could take it.
If it's just the team style of BW Proleague Kespa has this easy.

It's like Khaldor said on his stream: "They are not "better" per se, they just train harder then anyone else. And that gives them an edge of players who do not take it as serious.
And Kespa players DO take it serious!

Turns out ESF players won't participate. so that really sucks.
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

"The MvP Invitational will be played entirely online, with the regular season consisting only of games played between regions, with no intra-region play until the playoffs. Matches will be played cross-server. By the time the playoffs hit, all 24 KeSPA players will have played all 24 global players. The regular season ends October 15th with the playoffs beginning October 19th, and the Grand Finals on October 29th. The finals will be a $10,000 winner-take-all affair, featuring one player from MLG and one from KeSPA." - http://www.gamespot.com/news/mlg-vs-kespa-broadcast-starts-thursday-6397197

Man, with this format it is truly a tossup. At least as far as the ultimate winner is concerned.

I'd be extremely surprised to see the kespa players win. They have quite a bit less experience. Then again, they are/were the kings of BW, so there is a chance. That being said, MLG I think is the favorite.

AKA another retarded poll. You can see from page two that it was 50-50, now people just keep voting so it stays like that, not because of any reason or realistic chance, it's useless. And it's not first time it happened here on TL.

People shouldn't be able to see the results before voting or shouldn't be able to vote after they click to see the results. It's so much biased it hurts.
