No chat channel, clan support, cross-realm support, impossible to know your ranking on the ladder. Please give us back bnet 1.0 for sc2. T_T

Now I don't think B.net is perfect, far from it. No chat channels and similar issues will inevitable bring down the "B.net experience".

Lack of overall ranking

This is UNNECESSARY. Let's look at the TSL ladder. That's basically an overall ranking of the participating players. Was it accurate? No. Neither was the iCCup ladder and an overall B.net ladder wouldn't be accurate either. The only reason to have 1 big ladder would be to satisfy your own astoundingly big egos.

Tournaments decide who is better. Not ladders.

No chat channels

This I find one of the most serious issues. But you can indeed connect with anyone you want anyway so I don't consider it to be breaking B.net.

No cross server play allowed

This made me mad.

Inability to change nicknames

You actually put this as a problem? Obviously you are running out of issues and just want to hate on Blizzard.

No LAN feature

This has been done to death and while I personally would prefer a LAN feature I can live with it and overall it won't change that much.

Inability to host games by name and password

This again I find annoying. This should be available.

Online replays

Blizzard stated their reasons for these and I mostly agree. The only argument I see is that you can copy someone elses build. But people have proven quite capable of doing that just by watching VODS.

So overall yes I like the way B.net is heading. Although some changes are needed.

Online replays refers to being able to do a multiplayer replay host watching it with friends without having to count down 5 4 3 2 1 start

Ergh wrong account anyways, see above for online replays, the LAN feature is important seeing as when I was in a dorm I couldnt play anything online even on Bnet had to use LAN to play any games and seeing as a lot of college networks are shit you're limiting your market. The nicknames feature really you don't think this is a big deal? Look how often the top players on iCCup change their names so that they don't get bothered constantly if they're unable to practice without getting pestered every 2 seconds they're going to get frustrated.

While i voted no i can see while some people voted yes. Its much easier to find games against similar skilled opponents. From the casual gamers perspective you dont lose much without chat channels because on bnet 1.0 they never left brood war usa-1 anyway. And instead of having to search through 3v3 bgh and and fastest games you can now quickly find a game and play.

You mean like automatchmaking that existed in wc3? (Only broken because of lack of players, not functionality)

I was talking more about the sc1 since i never played war3, but i see what you mean and i think both chat channels and an auto matching system would be the most beneficial to all.

Obviously no, i dont give a shit about chat channels, but no LAN is retarded, no LAn on a game supposed to be played at a high level is so unbelivable retarded... what the hell is wrong with having your units respond as soon as you click? How the hell does that take AWAY from the multiplayer experience?

Blizzard is retarded

.

Why do you say this if you don't elaborate the reasons for you to vote yes??
I voted no too because i don't see that the benefits outweigh the disadvantages.

I voted yes because I love automated match making and I don't give a shit about chat channels and cross continent play. Those things could be needed for teams and high level players(who I am sure can pony up 60 extra bucks if they care that much) but I have no need of them.

As long as blizzard has a solution for people who are truly serious about the game and need to play against people on other servers, I like a lot of the things about BNet 2.0

No clearly, but I still hope Blizzard is aware that it is a failure (Bnet lead designer was applicable some days ago). Andthings will maybe (I hope !) become better from here to the next expansion... this sucks that it wont be up for release anyway.

I got a feeling that there are alot of wow people involved with bnet2.0 and they just dont understand well anything. I cant grasp how you can implement so retarded ideas if you played starcraft for a month so I can only assume that they never ever played sc or wc3 on bnet.

I seem to have misunderstood the online replays part so disregard my statement on that. I have no idea how often people on iCCup change their name but if blizzard brings back the old names with identifiers (this email era was just to test out that facebook thingie) then you can't just start whispering someone cause you know their name. The subject of LAN has been discussed thoroughly and while I agree that no LAN will in fact hinder some people it won't effect most. (This is from my viewpoint in soutehrn sweden. I have decent connection and I don't know a single person who doesn't, even at lans my friends almost never use LAN unless the game is pirated. But it might very well be different from where you are so maybe that problem is broader then I would imagine.)

There have been exactly ZERO good arguments for why bnet 2 is going "in the right direction". What exactly can bnet 2 do that war3 can't do better? What are the arguments for not at least having the same features that worked in the predecessor?

Those that voted yes are either completely ignorant of the state of bnet2, utterly unaware of what creates and sustains a competitive and professional gaming community or stupidly misguided into thinking they're actually helping BW by damaging SC2.

It's disheartening to see the prestige of this site being tarnished. This poll needs to be a crushing statement against incompetence and greed. TL, please do not disappoint.

No chat,No Tours,No Clans,No Ranks,No Cross-Realms,No Lan,No playing without Internet,No Online Replays,No Custom Games with names?,No lag indicators? etc etc

I voted No as Blizzard voted No to all the features i liked in their previous versions of battle.net

And tbh im very dissapointed at blizzard. This being the First of their game i wont buy.And next Wow expansion being the 2nd.I hope they turn things around with D3 or their next games.
