Another round of the GSL has finished, and we're down to 16 players. Let's see who has dropped the ball last week, and which young players have been granted a chance to make a name for themselves.

The GSL has changed its schedule this season, from broadcasting four matches per day in the Ro16, to only broadcasting two. This perhaps makes the GSL slightly more manageable for both the viewers and the broadcasters, as there is a maximum of 6 games that can be played per day, instead of 12.
This week, the two matches broadcasted will be between SoO and sKyHigh, and BeSt and Effort. SoO has had a fantastic Gom season so far, taking out fOrGG in his previous round, and winning five of his previous six matches, losing only to Jaedong in the proleague.
He is going up against CJ Entus rookie SkyHigh, one of the top free picks in the fantasy PL, who has also won 5 of his last six games. Skyhigh has recently beaten by.Great, Rumble, and Nada, who are three respectable players but none of whom are Protoss. In fact, Skyhigh has only played one televised TvP so far, and that was a game which he lost against BeSt.
With Medusa being added to the map pool, pressure will be on Skyhigh to take two matches, and as an untested player in the match-up, I would make SoO the slight favourite in this match. However, this match is between an untested rookie and a tested, but generally weaker player that seems to have struck form. Nothing can be harder to predict.
The second match-up, BeSt vs Effort, is perhaps on safer ground. Effort is another reasonably new player for CJ, but he has become their Zerg staple in the proleague, sporting recent wins over JangBi, Lomo, Sea, fantasy, and ZerO. He also surprisingly 2-0'd Kal in the Incruit OSL last season, a massive upset considering the matchup for Kal.
BeSt, on the other hand, is playing in his worst match-up with only a 51% winning average in it. He dropped a game against by.hero in his previous match in the GSL, and before that he has losses against lots of weaker Zerg players. However, this is still BeSt we are talking about, so no match is easy.
Effort has a good chance of causing an upset here, but I would still call it for Best. Effort is in form, is good in the match-up, and has been consistent, but he is playing against one of the strongest players in the world, and even though Best is not great in the match-up, he should still be good enough to take the win.
