Plexa... my my you work so hard. All of you guys.

Master level reached. TL can't be better.

Hey, here's an idea I've had for a while...How about some sort of player expose--small (or large) articles of big SC players past and present: nicknames, strats, strengths, weaknesses. I think that would be hotttttt.

Pretty much, except that's being a defeatist.

Very very nice addition to the website, this has sooooo much potential to help the community and to help it grow!
GJ TL staff, you guys are awesome.

I can just hope that every new to TL.net and SC pro-gaming person will read this .

Thank you for the guides~

way nice. this is the exactly the kind of stuff that shows us how far we've gone
great graphic pieces btw
|
Zomg pure win right here, though I know all this stuff already it took me a long mother fucking time to figure it out the first time. I knew I could watch live SC like 6 months before I finally really put my mind to it. Plexa great job man I am sure this will help thousands of noobs now and down the road you truly are an Advocate of the Noob (complimentary of course).
Three cheers for Plexa!

don't complement me! complement these people; Carnac, jkillashark, Orome, PoP, ToKoreaWithLove, Manifesto7, thedeadhaji, SonuvBob, GTR-2-Go, Plexa, Daigomi, Pachi as well as most of the other staff who pitched in as well
this was a group effort, it was just my honor and privilege to deliver the news

I stand corrected--didn't expect it to be so deep. I think that for something as character driven as SC that sort of thing would be emphasized more. I'm more interested in write-ups like that than how the survivor round of the MSL works (although that info is welcome too--great job to everyone who wrote these up).
Plus, that list is not exactly up-to-date...Not trying to nitpick, but I think this would really be an awesome addition.
Maybe something integrated with the database on TL--like, imagine a timeline that tracks players and as they perform better (kespa rank maybe) their line gets bigger...hmm, my explanation seems very poor.

dw there will be features like that in the future, albeit not part of the progaming faq

Quick question: Does a progamer have to stick to 1 race or can they switch around throughout a league/tournament? For example, a progamer that only plays ZvP TvZ and PvT. I'm guessing the answer is no but i just want to make sure.

The only limitation is that they must inform whoever the host of the event at least 1 week before the match. Off-racing (ala Savior vs Gorush) or race picking is strongly discouraged in proteam houses because of the extra work you need to do on those matchups.

cheers for the info, and the guide!

I'm sure this will be a very useful response, well done to everyone who put it together. I also second a brief Tl.net history, it would be a nice idea.

Does the player just say "Hey, I will be playing random" and then when the match comes, he picks Random?

Yup random included; just tell them one week ahead of schedule and viola! you can play random

Random: *yawn* Zerg..., guess I'll do 3-hatch Protoss: $%^& wtf am I fighting against?!
Protoss player gets really paranoid and sends 3 probes to scout 3 starting positions immediately...

That's why I always wanted to play random. The problem is that it's really hard to practice nine matchups and be good in all of them. Plus, most people won't play against you if you're random.
