I missed parts of the tournament (most importantly, I didn't catch the first 30 mins where OGN explained the format, etc.), but the final was Silent_Control (T) ("Na Do-hyun") v ShinyA[NC] (P) ("Bak Dong-wook") on Gaema Gowon. Control had a "by" (by default) then beat [Eros]~TT (P) (on Neo Forbidden Zone), while Shinya had to do it the hard way (and I mean HARD), but showed some inspired play and flattened both [Soul]Junior (Z) and V_Gundam (T)!!! Shinya won v Junior on Neo Bifrost with a straight-up hardcore Zealot rush opening (an opening strat virtually all Protoss pros have said cannot be used to win v Zerg on Bifrost), later closing with full-combo lot/goon/dt/temp. Then he beat Gundam (maybe one of the best TvP players in Korea) using a 2 Stargate Scout opening, then switching to mass goons, then finsihing with speed-upgraded lots. @__@ Shinya came very close to winning v Control too in the final (he'd leveled Control's natural and had him contained), but failed to make strategic transition to finish things off and eventually just lost control. Nonetheless, a very entertaining player who showed a lot of preparation and guts.
So, Silent_Control is in the Duel Tournament. He'll be ranked last among the Challenge Leaguers, so will have to face in the Duel Tournament the player who finishes #4 in the current Panasonic Starleague. Talk about out of the frying pan...
