The only reason why you didn't die day 2 is because I saved your ass. If I didn't share your innocent-sounding pms you would have died. Too bad I was sharing them with Qatol. If you look back we voted for Versatile at the same time. Funny I asked Qatol to post his vote/reasons after I did to avoid suspicion o.o. Should've been the other way around. And it kinda sucks that Versatile was a vet but oh well. I'm not pro. Let me live plz.

If there are dual mafias they have to kill each other to win please. Otherwise town = confused + screwed.

I'm also active/free enough to host a game. After my last AP which is on Tuesday that is.

the biggest issue in this game was mainly inactivity and people auto claiming to friends. This leads to huge issues as a host balance wise :p.

I think it's kind of like the prisoner's dilemma.

If Mafia A and B both know that only 1 family can win, an additional goal is finding the list of the other family (doesn't seem to be too hard). So A and B know each other's members, what do they do?

Say A chooses to snipe off B. This ensures that A will be the winning mafia team, but it also increases chance of victory for the town and provides clues. Thus this move is extremely risky early on and probably ensures town victory, barring the added variable of the CK. However, as the game progresses, one could expect that such an "all kill" is more likely.

In this situation, B has 2 options: die, or also snipe off A in a mirror betrayal. The latter is the lose-lose situation. The former is also not as desirable as mutual cooperation.

if both A and B choose to cooperate, this significantly increases the chance of a mafia family winning rather than the town. In the short term, this strategy is probably optimal: an uneasy truce. If the mafia knows that they can do this and the game will just end once town dies (see: this game) there's little reason for them to play differently, other than just for lols and for bragging rights.

I think this makes sense.


Not quite. The way that the members and killpower was set up, it was nearly impossible for one side to take the other out in a single night. This meant leaving survivors who could then just out the entire other mafia team. Mafia fighting each other was more mutually assured destruction than the prisoner's dilemma.

But on I actually went to Ver accusing Mynock because I thought they were both mafia on opposite sides and I could possibly get one of you to freak out and kill everyone on my list (which I was going to add names to). Qatol, you're saying Town played poorly by not lynching a mafia earlier? Town partly left you in office for all that time, because it figured you will at least fight the other Mafia. BC was watching all that, and never ever decided that maybe Town should actually know what they're playing. Hell, there might have been a surprise third faction of Vampires, how would we know?

Yes, maybe BC lied to you guys for the first night, but he never told the truth to the Town for the WHOLE game. You had a slow start, Town was crippled from the beginning to the very end.

Lying about in-game stuff is OK (hell, that's what this game is about, deception), lying about the RULES of the game, when you, in fact, know better, is pretty dirty.


^^Read this please. Stop talking about mafia hits town options/scenarios or whatnot. Just let us know the actual rules of the game please. Thats all I ask. If what Ver/Qatol is saying is really true and the two mafia families were designed just to handicap the mafia for the first few days, then fine. But please state that in the rules. If you tell us the actual rules of the game then the game is quite balanced. But we need to know the rules first. Very important.

Just look at some of the arguments about lynching Qatol on day 2 or was it 3? People were saying we should leave Qatol alive because the extra lynches would help us even if its against the other mafia family. If we knew the rules, maybe he wouldn't have lived???

Regardless of whether or not it would have changed the outcome of the game, we need to know the rules. But seriously Qatol might have been lynched day 3 if we'd have known. He barely survived by 2-3 votes. Which isn't too hard to get once you point out the rules.
