Also we still disagree on the logic of lynching the role caller on day 1. I think depending on the roles in the game, it changes. But without insane DTs, we should usually aim for the accused. I am not going to justify this again.

In this game with the insane dts, etc. Your lynch is definite, I voted to lynch you as well BC. However, I think in a game like Mafia 3, it makes more sense to lynch the accused. I understand it gives you less information, but you have to weigh that against killing one of your DTs. If he pops red, then you have either a legit DT who you can protect/test until you determine his authenticity. Then you could have a red posing as a DT who gets one of his own killed.

That is rare imo, and a very hard circumstance to pull off, I would still keep the accuser "DT" under scrutiny until I am proven otherwise.

Plus BC, you were retarded with the way you were talking and with your role, you had to be VI. I just wish we lynched someone else and vigi'd you out of the game. but whatever!

What dont you get? As the DT you can't prove anything on Day 1, and no one else is going to out themselves to confirm you are mafia or not.

So the mafia has everything to gain by posing as a DT on Day 1. Anything they say can't be debated.

What does the mafia keep doing? I haven't seen ONE mafia game where a mafia faked DT. In the long run it doesn't seem to benefit mafia to fake the DT in that situation. There is also only ONE thing the DT can say that can't be debated. The person he accused is mafia, we can't say hes wrong or anything until hes dead. However just because you are a DT it doesn't mean your clue analysis or behavior analysis is any better than someone else. So you only have one thing to base it all off of.

What exactly does the mafia gain from this? Besides getting a +1 kill then losing a mafia? A mild amount of town confusion that is all disregarded after one day/night cycle?

See, you guys keep thinking it won't happen because it hasn't happened yet. Seriously, a lot of TL Mafia games come down to Major bouts of luck with the exception of the first 2. Even though in Mafia 2 there were lucky/unlucky breaks none of it is like what's happened in the past few games. The reason why all the good players are targeted first is because majority of the people playing either go inactive, just don't care to play for their side to win, or just fucking suck.

Like I said, we have different views on this matter, neither of us are going to change ours.

What you just suggested involves a lot of luck guessing on mafia part, they basically have to say "Okay, pick random guy, hope hes a good role and its worth my head"
I think that you are right, that a mafia could fake being a DT and out one of his own guys for trust and that no one will check him. Its a fucking BALLZY move. Requires mafia sacrifice, however I also think that after it happens one game and works, everyone will question the day 1/2 role calls.

We will learn as games progress, and for the record, most people seem to agree with my logic :D But I can see where you are coming from, I just disagree about who it benefits in whatever situation.

We should all meet in an IRC channel, all of us meaning active mafia players, and create the list. I have a few players aim/msn now to talk with. I just think we all need an up to date list on what exactly is going to happen, whose active, whose not, etc.

oh simple explanation, when me and malongo were on mafia together in BCs game, we were doing that vote swing thing, where last minute we all slammed our votes onto 0cz3c. What happened was I changed my password to temporary for a few hours, the issue was that I had to do something, I can't remember what it was, but I think I had to hand in a paper that was due in like an hour, so I had to drive all the way to school, so voting was going to close.

So I was talking with malongo and we agreed that under certain circumstances, if we could get all of the remaining mafia to become active to vote swing, that we would do it. I however was going to be AFK so I gave him my password to vote under my account at the last minute, along with everyone else.

If you can check password changing timestamps or anything it syncs up.

One of the things I am most curious about is apparently there was a movement to kill me before attackzerg said something retarded which looked like it fucked me. I got PMed afterwords by Ver who I said I thought to be mafia and he said that my death wasn't the fault of AttackZerg, apparently the town was out to kill me for a while before that retarded shit.

For those unaware, there was one day that for some reason 2 vote rigger powers were used, I had zero votes on me then the lynch popped and me and someone else were killed. I got voterigged and a double lynch also happened. I was so pissed and confused because literally minutes before the lynch results AttackZerg (Dead at the time) posted calling me mafia and posted a PM I sent him, which I thought influenced a vote rigger.
