I don't think "I swear on my life" qualifies as cheating at all. I've even said something worse, "I'm willing to take a ban if I'm wrong", and nobody considered it as cheating. Both of those are clearly exaggerated sentences with no relation to actually wanting to commit suicide / take a ban.
If anything, I think gumshoe's several AFK games (where he's done barely more than ninja voted) are detrimental to the forum. This doesn't even come close to that.

Getting mad is part of the game. I get competitive in mafia just as I do in sports, board games, video games and everything else in life.
Rayn is being a drama queen right now, but that's not who he is, he's just mad. Stick him in a session of voice/video mafia and everything will be forgotten.
Coag's rant is basically inane bullshit. We treat each other very decently, we share a common goal which is to help build an enjoyable environment to play fun games in, many of us talk regularly outside of the games. Yes, we're competitive and thus we blow up occasionally.

I guess some things are not funny to some people even when they are lies. AKA: So if most of your family members had just died, horribly, then other people swearing on their life and seemingly taking it lightly would be irksome, so there is always personal perspective.

He wasn't just circumventing our ban rules: he tried to smurf into a newbie game where he shouldn't be playing anyways. To do what, beat up on newbies? Come on ._. this guy doesn't belong in our community, let's get rid of him.
