I wouldn't be hesitant to sign up for another game that had Moosy in it. Seeing the name "Barakos" in a signup list would keep me from playing. Who would want to risk being teamed with him after this? Here at TL Mafia, we warn and ban players for bad behavior, not for poor play. There's nothing I saw from Barakos that should lead to ban. Other players can comment if they want. Basically, we recognize that we'll have players of varying levels. Everything from best ever and the gods of mafia (like myself and marvellosity) to average (like raynpelikoneet and Damdred) to complete scrubs (like PalmAr and DarthPunk). People learn at different rates (some faster, some slower) as well as having different skill caps (mafia god, average, scrub, etc.). Experience is how people learn and, more often than not, players don't learn exceptionally fast because games often take 12-21 days and are filled with spurts of activity. Additionally, few players can handle playing in multiple games at once; so players rarely gain experience to improve quickly. On top of that, because scum play and blue play tends to be more rare than green play, players tend to slowly learn and "fit into their shoes" slowly. It's a learning process, just remember that. P.S. If I call you all bad or newbs in a game, don't feel bad. You'd laugh if you read my early games. BH can attest.

I won't try to deny anything you say about the PMs between yourself and LS. I was only giving the perspective of the players INSIDE the game. What I posted is all that *I* could see.

I was criticizing him for deciding NOT to play. He just up and quit on the game. Ignored the rule that says to play to your win condition. Ignored the rule that says voting is mandatory. Gets lynched (as, having quit the game, he cannot defend himself from suspicion) and turns the game into a 10-2 setup. Actually, the Scum team's chances would have been BETTER if it was a pure 10-2 setup from the outset. Then there's no risk of association, either by post content or by voting. Seeing Barakos on the signup list for a future game shouldn't make people wary of signing up because they're afraid he'll play poorly, or make bad posts. They should be afraid that they'll be on his team the next time he bails on a game in progress.

Some things will just be what they are.

It would be, except that there is a specific rule that says you're not allowed to. So the reasoning stands. How would you feel about joining the next game (I mean...the next game you aren't banned from...too soon?) and seeing that you and Barakos are on the Scum team together? Wouldn't you HAVE to be worried that he's going to quit on the team before even making it through the first Phase, again?
