Doesn't that, like, not work because aperture doesn't have a creature?

So Aperture, what do you suggest we do regarding Xfire? How to kill him, when, how you can help us do it with other cards you have, how can other people do it with the cards they claimed and have in the field, etc?
You seem awfully quite about this whole "let's figure out how to kill a confirmed scum" deal, and you+iGrok are the "experts" of magic, so you should be leading us to victory right now, yet you aren't

What do you guys think about Nova "not reading the thread" and even hinting Xfire could be town? Could he be faking that as scum, or is a "scumslip", or just means he's town not paying attention?
Thoughts?
Also, if Xfire comes back and shits on us before Artanis quells my doubts I'll be a little bit angry

Also damn you marv/S&B why aren't you guys active and scumhunting and shit?

You know, I'd really like strong's thoughts on all this shit, I don't even remember what his reads are (other than he thought CH was a little scummy back in T1 lol)
Seriously dudes, even if you guys aren't taking a "central role" in this town like you said, this inactivity and lack of doing stuff is worrying. Only marv tried to do some stuff, but only a little Basically I don't remember him doing much other than defending Stutters and posting a "meh I dunno" post about like half the players.
Come on dude...you are not scum are you?

~dandel Oh you may be right Well Aperture, better get a creature out soon. Nope, my fellow Hydra head is wrong. Fork rulings are strange like that, but Reckless Abandon's text reads "as an additional cost". Sacrificing the creature is thus part of the casting cost, which does not need to be payed again. AS can fork the crap out of that. Hur hur hur.
Also, here's the math on Xfire:
Wooded Foothills: 1 damage Zombie x4: 8 damage Soul Syphon: 16 life Chain Lightning x 3: 9 damage Reverberate on CL: 3 damage Death Spark: 1 damage Zombie x 3: 6 damage Ninja: 2 damage Lavamancer: 1 damage
Total: 5 life remaining
As far as I can see in the board thread nothing else happened to him

The no in response rule has been made to counter this, and quickly casting spells to kill someone before they can cast something would be included in that.

Sadly I cannot make strongandbig appear. I think my opinions are obvious enough, who I think is mafia etc. I'm not going to post for the sake of posting, darling. Sound familiar?

But this applies to him the same right? Imagine I get him down to 0 HP, and he does nothing
Imagine he has a "Gain 1 life" sorcery. Now imagine he plays it at the last second of this Main Phase.
Wouldn't this be unfair? We'd be playing this whole Main Phase under the assumption he'd die, and he fucks that up at the last second.
Could you maybe give him a "set" time for him to use a card that prevents him from dying or something? That way once that set time passes we are sure he'll die at the end of the cycle

Of course my concerns about this is because we CAN deal A LOT of damage to him, not just 5. But we would ONLY deal 5 damage to him if it kills him. So if he has the "Gain 1 life" card, and uses it now, then we can kill him with 1 more damage this Main Phase But if he waits until the very last moment and ninja-casts, then we can't, and thus he'll survive longer when he shouldn't

Eh, I don't think there's any difference between Xfire dying in the main phase or in the attack phase unless he casts a creature with haste.
Plan: blast Xfire down to 0 life. If he doesn't die, we attack him with enough creatures to kill him in the attack phase.

Additional time will be given to prevent a last minute 'escape' if necessary.

Is he allowed to use it to cast instants that interact with sorceries or permanents played that turn? If so, you just ninja-improved the shit out of a card without telling us.
Also, Appy, why did you not tell us? In fact, why did you purposefully withhold that information last turn when you tapped more lands than you needed to cast Reverberate?
