Gonzaw does your plan rely on you and nova being town?

I don't have enough information about nova, and I think you're probably town but I'm not sure.

Assuming for the sake of argument that one of you or nova is scum how does your plan still help town.

Okay, let's assume 1 of us is scum:

1)That scum HAS to do what town tells him. If town finds someone suspicious, well he has to attack that dude, specially if it's his partner. If he goes attacking random people or doing something scummy he'll out himself as scum
2)Even if he does scummy things, I or WB-G can use Aether Spellbomb to get Nova's/my 8/8 beast to their hands (and we won't be able to summon it again....unless we have 8 lands which will be very unlikely)
3)Me or Nova will be "targets" for scum to use their Mafia Beast on. If one of us is never shot by the Beast in the end-game, then something will be wrong. Like someone said, if both of us are town, scum WILL kill us.
They won't risk us 2 killing their entire scumteam just for the WIFOM of "It's round X and Nova/Oberyn are still alive! Maybe they are scum!" which may not even work for them
4)If 1 of us is scum....well then 1 of us is town. That means 1 townie will still have a 8/8 beast, and the other scum will have one but he has to follow town's orders

This is the worst case scenario of 1 of me/Nova being scum (Nova being scum alone in my case).
I don't think Nova is scum, for various reasons already stated before, and even if he was we can force him to kill his scumbuddy and me/WB-G can take out his Avatar later.

Best case scenario (likely) is both me and Nova are town and we obliterate scum.

This is too good an opportunity to miss; so if you don't want to do it fearing me or Nova are scum, then I'd tell you that before disagreeing you should reread the thread very carefully and a couple of times to figure out if we are scum or not, and then say if you still agree or not (even based on what I wrote above).

Well.....S&B you don't have any lands to tap so convincing you it's not really necessary

Awesome.

I don't think Nova will have a problem with this, whether he's town or scum; so we only need Zealos and Fulla to confirm it and we can go along with it

@Promethelax: You said you have some enchantments right? Damn, imagine you using them on one of the 8/8 beasts next turn? Like a +2/+2 one? It could get even stronger than Mafia's KP one

If we get the 8/8 beasts out, AND things go well (Nova doesn't do scummy shit, etc), then maybe we can start thinking about supporting those beasts with enchantments and stuff

I have to say this is frustrating to have an obvious plan right in front of us and no one is interested in taking action.

We have the opportunity to produce 16 damage worth of town controlled kp and you are tapping out to play Nantuko Husk? That is completely worthless.

Lets organize this before the next 24 hours go by and we throw away our best chance at winning.

We need 8 mana going to team nova and we need 4 mana to team oberyn.

It doesn't matter if you don't trust us. The kp can be town controlled and we just bounce the creature if we don't follow the plan.

If you guys make a post without explaining how you are contributing to the plan then you will be considered anti-town. If you ignore this post and tap out to play a useless 2/2 then you will be considered mafia.

I'm not disagreeing . I was just a little bit worried because your response to GM asking you this was "don't you think we're both town?"

The "2 8/8s plan" is significantly better than the previous "one 8/8" plan, because it's more resilient to have the creatures spread out.

Nova: Tap 2 Forests, use 6 mana and summon "Avatar of Might"

These players tap your land and give it to Oberyn:

Fulla: 2 Mountains
Zealos: 1 Swamp

Oberyn: Tap 1 Island, use 3 mana and summon "Clone" targeting "Avatar of Might"

Once Zealos, Nova and Fulla agree I'll post a "plan" or so to follow.

We'd want to have the mana given spread out (as in, everybody should give at least 1 mana), and we need some specific green and specific blue mana.
Nova will use both of his Forest for the "green mana" part of the Avatar summon, and I'll use 2 Islands for the "blue mana" part of the Clone. That means anybody else can donate mana of any color and doesn't really matter.

Oh wait..

lol I didn't notice we have 3 Islands and not 2

Correction:

Currently we have 13 untapped lands; Promo said he has 1 land without casting, and potentially Zealos and Fulla have 1 uncasted land each.
With Zealos' untapped "City of Brass", that means we have 15-17 mana available.
We need only 12 for the dual-8/8-beast plan; so if you guys want to plan what to do with the remaining 3-5 mana be my guest

As I said above, we decided to play that before this plan was proposed. We promise not to tap our mana early in the future or whatever.

Oh and when you say this beast will be town controlled, I hope you understand that there has to be a proper vote - not some kind of judgement call on the "town feeling" or whatever. That gives a potential scum beast-controller way too much leeway to slither out of attacking their buddy, and a potential tunneled-in townie controller too much leeway to attack a bad target.

Also a nantuko husk in a zombie deck can become incredibly powerful. Just saying

If there is a voting system implemented, I promise to follow it (i.e attacking the player that gets the most amount of votes), even if it means having to attack my town read or something (would suck, but maybe my town read was wrong).

Damn I'm such a derp, Clone only uses 1 blue mana >_>

^^^You are a derp too, that one is wrong

Here:

These players tap your land and give it to Nova:

Obreyn: 1 Island
Matt: 1 Mountains
Prome: 2 Plains
Fulla: 2 Mountains

Nova: Tap 2 Forests, use 6 mana and summon "Avatar of Might"

These players tap your land and give it to Oberyn:

WB-G: 1 Island
Zealos: 1 Swamp & ( 1 "City of Brass" or 1 potential uncasted land )

Oberyn: Tap 1 Island, use 3 mana and summon "Clone" targeting "Avatar of Might"

That leaves these mana available:

Promo: 1 uncasted land
Zealos: 1 "City of Brass" mana or 1 potential uncasted land
Matt: 1 Mountain
Oberyn: 1 Island
Fulla: 1 potential uncasted land

This way the "available" mana will be spread between many people, so they have 1 available mana to do whatever they want to with their own deck, or have 1 mana to give to someone else to make another plan

Do you people agree with this distribution?

S&B, what are your thoughts on Grey? (sorry if I missed them)

If me+Wbg+others attack him, would you agree to do so as well? Why/Why not?

@Prome: Would you attack Greymist as well?

If we follow the above plan, you and me will have 1 available mana each.
You can use that mana and tap the Harrier to tap one of Grey's monsters, and I can use AE Spellbomb to return the other to its hand.

Then Mat's goblin, WBG's Hovemyr, S&B's Goblin and Fulla's Lavamancer can attack him directly for 4 damage.

If next turn me and Nova get a direct attack on him with both our 8/8 beasts, we'll deal 16 damage and kill him. (20-4-16=0)

This can be a plan, but of course we can't do that if nobody posts wtf they think of Greymist or if they are willing to attack him or not

So my brother said above, and I agree, that it's significant that the mafia decided to attack you instead of grey, when his deck makes him pretty clearly the biggest threat on the board atm. Like, I would agree with you re attacking a green vet instead of a blue nub in a pyp game, except that greymist is no nub.

I also still find his proposed paradigm that we think of this "like a normal game of multiplayer magic but with a subset of players who are mafia" to be either really poorly thought out or downright scummy, since it's very different from that in significant ways. Normally multiplayer games of magic are pretty defensive since only one player wins and they do that by living without everyone ganging up on them. In this game townies can win while being aggressive since they can win despite dying; and this one has a time limit so if we play it normally then town will lose.

As for attacking him, I don't really want to commit myself yet because I want to reread his whole filter tomorrow when I've had fewer beers.

For now I'll say that he is on my top three list of potential targets.

Actually that won't be a problem if Grey doesn't block

Greymist, if you are actually town, then I advise you to attack (with your flying monster) whoever you think is scum and not block.

Why?

1)Once you die, the scum you attacked will have less HP/be weakened so it will be easier for us to kill him
2)You will die faster, which means the moment you die (and we realize our mistake and go for the real scum) scum's Mafia Beast will have less power.

The more we prolong our "lynches" the more KP Mafia have, which is bad.

Of course...that is if you are town (if you are scum then do so as well)

I'd actually advise that to ANY townie that's in the wrong end of an attack, don't block if you can deal damage to scum unless its necessary (yeah we already talked about this bla bla bla)

Oh come on why is nobody doing anything?

Come on people, post reads, post cases. Nobody did shit on N1 because "we couldn't attack", but now that we can everybody is silent?

Fulla, Zealos where the hell are you?
Mattchew....good that you agree with the plan, but you know the objective of that plan right? It's to kill scum. Without catching scum the plan is useless so please read filters and give us something.
