Please note that this game uses extended majority lynch rules. This is an important change.
Also a note on behavior, I will be very, very strict with the no flaming rule, keep this in mind before you post something you might regret.

Introduction:
Mafia is an educated guessing game of epic proportions. The objective of the game is to lynch or kill all mafia members before they outnumber the rest of the town. It's much like a game of poker because mafia members are also part of the town during the day and may manipulate the vote to their liking. If the mafia at any time outnumber or equal the townspeople, they win. The town's goal is to lynch all the members of the mafia.
The game is typically very active, so the thread will get big quickly. However, it is essential to read the thread to play the game. If you do not have the time or patience to read the whole thread, do not play. I will not compensate for ignorance.
Rules:
Cheating:
Cheating includes (but is not limited to):
1. Posting after death. You may have one polite goodbye post, but it may not contain any potentially game-changing information.
2. Ruining the game by doing something like hand out your mafia's member list to the town.
3. Logging on to someone else's account to get their role or looking over someone's shoulder to get their role.
4. Comparing role PM times to determine roles.
5. Posting screenshots of your inbox.
6. Posting any PM you receive from a host.
7. Getting yourself modkilled to help your team. Your non-majority-decided death may not be used as a bargaining chip.
8. Signing up more than once using smurf accounts.
9. Betting items outside of the game in exchange for in-game benefits.
10. Sharing accounts with other players. Only you may post on your account.
Cheating is not tolerated here. The punishment will be severe.

This is mod font. It is reserved for moderators. Please do not use it.
Question Font:
This is question font. Use it to ask the moderators questions about the rules. Please do us a favor and read the rules before you ask anything.
Activity:
You must post in this thread once per day/night cycle and vote every day while you are alive. If you fail to do so, you will be modkilled.

Editing:
Editing is not allowed for any reason. Editing will result in a warning. After that, you will be modkilled. This is the one part of the site where it is okay to be double posting, even triple-posting. While I ask for everybody to post as concisely as possible, post again if you have to edit anything.
Inappropriate posts:
If you want to post something insulting or inappropriate and know the TL mods would have a problem with it elsewhere, don't post it here. If you do, a host will warn you or modkill you and request that you be banned from future games. The hosts have the final say on what is inappropriate. If you do not like how someone is talking to you, please PM a host, Qatol, or Flamewheel before involving the TL staff. If you are unsatisfied with how the situation is resolved, then you can appeal to the TL staff normally.
Reporting posts:
The report button is a nice feature for regular TL, but not for this forum. We prefer to deal with things in house if possible to avoid confusion among the TL staff. If you have a problem with how someone is posting, talk to the host, co-host, Qatol, or Flamewheel before using your report button. Please do not use your report button for anything other than inappropriate posts which you feel are not being dealt with adequately.
Ban discussions:
Please wait until this game is over to talk about modkills and bans resulting from this game.
Play to win.
This means you play your best to help your team win while you are alive and in the game. However, this does not mean that you should try to win by being a jerk to the other players so they all want to quit playing.
This also means that you cannot leave the game without a good reason without a ban. These situations will be dealt with on a case by case basis. PM your host if you need to leave the game.

Voting rules:
1. Voting is done (in a separate thread, located here ) . Please keep votes there, and only vote there. Do not PM me your vote.
2. Please vote in the following format: ##Vote Qatol. Votes not done in the correct fashion will not be counted. I will update vote counts whenever I get the chance.
3. No conditional voting.
4. You may vote for yourself. You may not vote for anyone dead or outside the game.
5. This game follows Extended Majority Lynch Rules. Majority = #of players remaining in the game/2) + 1. Unlike in traditional majority lynch, the lynch is NOT decided the moment majority is reached. Instead, only the final vote count matters. If there is no majority at the deadline, the day ends with a no lynch. Non-voters will be modkilled for failure to vote.
6. Voting is mandatory. You may (NOT) abstain.
Signups:
This game is open to anyone. Signups will remain open until (=all 30 spots have been filled.
Game-specific rules:
Modkills:
This game follows the TL Mafia Ban List. If you are modkilled, your punishment will go beyond being eliminated from this game. Please refer to it for questions about your punishment. If you want to use this game to sit out your ban, please PM Qatol or post in the Ban List.
Replacements
This game uses replacements. Replacements will be made in the game until day 3. If a player is modkilled during the designated time, then they will be replaced by a player on the replacement list.
Clues:
There are no clues.
PMs
PMs are not allowed in this game.
Time Cycle:
This game will follow a (24 hour night/48 hour) day cycle. In case I am not able to post around deadline, any votes after the 48 hour mark will not count and the game will be put on halt until the night post is up. Currently the deadline is 02:00 GMT (+00:00), but that is subject to change.

Unbeknown to its citizens, the beautiful town of liquidia was built around a centuries old artifact known as the Shrike. Now the cult of a dark, long dead deamon lord seeks to take the artifact for its own to resurrect their dark god, will the villagers be able to weed out the cultists amongst them or will the darkness overcome Liquidia and then the world?
This is a semi-open setup, while the exact number of roles present won't be known, any roles present will be taken from this list.
Also, each role has custom fluff, to deter any silly ideas like name claiming, the mafia may at any point request a safe-claim from me and I will provide it, safe claims can be for any role, from Liquidian to Inquisitor
Roles
Town Aligned Roles
Liquidite (Vanilla Townie)- one of the citizens of liquidia, you led a fairly peaceful existence until this cult of evil doers moved in and began killing people to make their way to the artifact. Every day you may vote for who you want to be lynched, in an attempt to kill the cultists before they kill you.
Overly Inquisitve Liquidite (Noisy Neighbor) you are just like regular liquidites, except that instead of staying home at night and praying no one kills you, you go out and visit other liquidites, peering through their windows and generally hanging out. You don’t glean any information, but anyone following you will know you visited someone at night
Necrophiliac Liquidite (Miller)- you are just like the other, regular, liquidians, except for your “hobby” of bringing dead bodies home to... ‘enjoy’ their company. This means that anyone who investigates you will conclude you are a cultist, since who else brings dead bodies home?
Guardian Angel (Medic) - one of the holy forces sent by heaven to keep the cultists from getting their hands on the shrike, you are an angel in mortal form. Every night you may watch over a player, and if they would be hit you raise a sheild of righteous fury around them, protecting them from death. You only protect from one kp. If you successfuly protect someone both you and your target will be informed.
Chaplain (Veteran) - as a consecrated priest and spiritual minister you are especially well equipped to handle the attacks of the unholy cultists, your time as a chaplain in the Liquidian militia doesn’t hurt a bit either . You have an extra night life which can absorb a single KP. You will be notified if it is expended, a roleblock divests you of your extra life.
Inquisitor (Detective) - sent by the ordo malleus, you are a specialist in sniffing out the forces of darkness and then consecrating them to the holy flame. Every night you may investigate someone, finding out their alignment, either guilty or innocent. You are not necessarily the most stable individual, due to the horrors you have been exposed to your perception of reality may have been wrapped, you can be either sane, insane, paranoid or naive.
Undead Hunter (tracker) - another member of the inquisition, your special talents are usualy relegated to following and killing undead. You can’t kill cultists, but you can follow them, every night you may choose a citizen and follow them around to see who they visit, use this knowledge to bring down the cultists so you can go back to killing zombies already.
Police Officer (Watcher) - you are one of the last remaining law enforcement officials in liquidia! You are too terrified to use your gun, but you can certainly observe. Every night you may watch a target and see everyone who visits him at night.
Paladin (Vigilante) - you are one of the most powerful independent agents against the forces of evil. You have a crossbow with a single holy bolt, any night starting after night 1 you may choose to unleash your righteous fury at someone, shooting your bolt and killing your target (barring protection). If your hit stacks with mafia your hit will be refunded. If two paladin hits stack the first to have been received will go through and the other will be refunded,
Demolitions Expert (Mad Hatter) - You are one of the oldest residents of liquidia, and you’ve always been a little touched in the head, you have an arsenal of bombs, and you will be *damned* if you are going to let the cult get you unpunished. You have two stashes of explosives which you may place as you wish, but you may only move or place one per night. When you die they detonate, each counts as a kp. If your target is killed (by lynch or by night kill) you lose that bomb.
Mafia Aligned Roles
Tiamanicus, Demon Prince of Deception (Godfather) -The leader of the cult, if he is present there will only be one, he is a skilled master of deception, able to take any form as such he returns Innocent to any Inquisitor who chooses to check him out, as well as killing with untraceable dark magic, deceiving anyone who would choose to follow him at night into thinking he stayed home. (He fools both watchers and trackers, although he may only visit one person per night, and the mafia does *not* choose who commits the kills each night)
Cultist Initiate (Goon) - the lowest of the low, the cultist initiate has no special powers save the knowledge of who his fellow cultists are and the ability to communicate with them, as well as being able to help determine who gets killed at night
Cultist Soothslayer (Scum Medic) - cursed with the gift of second sight by his dark masters the Soothslayer can visit someone every night, if he is visiting someone who would get hit he warns the person in time and the hit is averted. they only protect from one kp. If they successfully protect someone both parties will be informed.
Cultist of Tiamanicus (mafia framer) a master of illusion and deception, the cultist of Tiamanicus can visit someone each night, making them appear guilty to the inquisition if they were innocent, or innocent if they were guilty
Cult Torturer (roleblocker) an especially disgusting cultist, he delights in kidnapping someone every night and locking them up in abject terror untill dawn arrives, keeping them from performing any actions at all
Cult Assassin (Scum Vigilante) armed with a single unholy dagger, the assassin is equipped to bring down even the strongest of foes. Starting after night 1 the assassin may fire his only dagger at a target. This counts as a single kp.
Corrupted Liquidian - a traitor to the town, the corrupted liquidian lusts for the power of the artefact, he does not know who the cult is, but he wins as long as the cult outnumbers the town (he is considered a Liquidian for all intents and purposes). He returns Guilty to the inquisition
The cult (Mafia) wins when the cultists outnumber the town, and the town wins when all the cultists are dead.
