I felt like Amber was the person I should be using this role on though, and I wasn't sure how to vote him without claiming, as just voting him for talking like a dog would be kind of dumb and town doesn't need to spend 5 pages discussing if im scum because I voted for Amber with bad reasoning.

I wanted to try and use my role for something useful. I have no reason to randomly be able to pm someone who looks like they are getting lynched because if they are town they will say everything in the thread and if they are scum then they won't tell me anything useful. My claim was an attempt at allowing Amber to tell us what was going on and contribute his thoughts to the discussion.

I don't really think you built a big enough case on me to warrant a BOOM. Quoting 3 of my many posts and then concluding I am scum isn't exactly the most convincing argument. And as I have said, if i was lying about my claim I'm sure there would be somebody pressuring me far harder about it than you or anybody else are. Amber wasn't exactly under a huge amount of pressure so i don't think calling us both scum is a valid argument...

Chaos i seriously doubt that vote mason is the strongest role in the game. I didn't understand the full usefulness of my role and I still don't to be honest. I thought it would be kind of bad since i would find it difficult justifying a random vote. Me saying I will catch scum by any means possible was a slight crumb to being able to "interrogate" people. I figured that day 1 the most useful thing i could do was claim. At worst I will be hit and town will lose an average player with an ok role and at best i would have been able to communicate with our friend AMber. Also can people stop saying my roleclaim isn't real because the only way for it not to be real at this stage is if both I and Amber are scum.

Another person who is interesting to me is mataza. I encourage people to read his posts as i cannot find anywhere where he has attempted to really contribute or scumhunt. He has also soft-defended Varpulis, so that's something to look out for.

Sandroba i wasn't sure how useful my role was because i would have to vote the person I wanted to talk to. I figured the most use I could be day 1 was talking to our canine companion, and I didn't want the thread filling up with pages discussing if my vote was scummy and then filling up later on with people asking me to change my vote. My role is one that needs me to do things publicly and the less pointless talk on a townie with a "suspicious" voting pattern the better. I tried to use my role to allow Amber to talk to the thread and voice his opinions. I don't see that as being a scummy motive...I also stand by the fact that mafia will be trying to kill better players and better roles than me tonight.

X says he picked Y's role. X dies at night, Y can claim whatever he wants. Or maybe mafia kill X to make Y look suspicious. Or maybe mafia killed X for some other reason.
Or XYZ Says they picked ABC's roles. XYZ die at night, mafia then starts this whole wifom train about XYZ being mafia because they killed the person that picked their roles.
All your plan leads to from my POV is the opportunity for mafia to fake roleclaim and huge amounts of WIFOM.
