My vote is Trist. While Censer meta is still dominate at this tournament, Trist really shines on two facets: her late game scaling with her range, allowing her to team fight front to back with relative ease, and second, how well she can take down turrets, despite being a "late game" carry. I've seen good Varus games during LCK this season but no one's stepped up on the champion yet imo. I'm not a fan of Kog/Twitch as much but I suspect the CN ADCs will still lean heavily towards hyper carries. She even made Doublelift look good zz.
I know we went over "overrated/underwhelming" picks a few pages back but Faker still looks like a god on Ryze, everyone is babo as fk. Shen amusingly enough does best with aggressive teams, using Stand United offensively than defensively. Trist is very strong right now, but only because a lot of other ADC are being banned out or teams are drafted against. Definitely stronger than Xayah right now, although Mystic's mastery of her suggests otherwise. Show nested quote +My pleb mind still doesn't understand why Kalista is permabanned. Is it really so much better than say, leaving it open red side so you can try and grab Xayah+Rakan in trade for it? Or Galio+J4? Because Kalista's entire design is broken, and when the meta allows her to see play she will always be busted. She's like the only champion in the game with a debuff built in with her 90% AA, because Riot want to keep her unique but it's so damn hard to balance her when her kit is bonkers. She's probably the best laning ADC right now (ignoring a solid Draven matchup), because Cait has been nerfed. I've been watching players like Hans and Zven play her on their streams, and when you play her well she will always pull ahead in cs. There are certain matchups which she destroys so hard that you're enemy ADC will be sitting on 40@10 cs if they're lucky. It's very easy to misstep and end up blowing flash/dying to her. Her kill pressure with engage champs like Ali, Taric, Rakan are so high because she can kite you forever if you get locked down. Then there is the level 6 engage, which again forces the opponent to play very careful, if you don't have flash then the moment a jungle gank comes you are dead 100% against the likes of the previously mentioned supports. It's far more reliable CC than Varus or Ashe ult which imo are easier to dodge, and throwing the support makes chaining so much easier/stronger. Her team fighting is also pretty strong, her ability to kite many champs makes them practically garbage against her, and some of those happen to be meta picks. You'd think that her damage falls off in comparison to the likes of Twitch and Kog, but Kalista naturally accrues such huge leads and speeds up the game so much when played properly that she can still out damage them at the 20 minute mark so long as the hypercarry can't sit and AA non stop. Which is another strength: her passive means that she doesn't have to worry about running away without AAing because there's some big bad tank running at her. Then her objective control, imagine Kalista and Cho on the same team, there's no chance you would be able to steal from that. Ardent is pretty dope on her as well, but that applies to all AS based ADC. Overall she's just one of the most busted champs to ever be introduced, and my biggest candidate for a rework.
Kalista might be (although there are plenty of candidates), the #1 example of why the Character design and Balance teams should be the same. Everyone knew that Objective control and dashes were incredibly powerful before she existed, and then the design team created her.
Other (post beta) options are Rengar (introduced with massive sustain right after they talked about how bad Vlad's sustain was) and Kassadin (massive shields + silence that they knew were impossible to counter).

Don't need armor pen if you do true damage XD

Wut.... Fnatic please.
How do you pick Vayne into Trist with a losing jungle matchup and just expect that'll be OK.

I blame CertainlyT's champion designs, he's the same guy who has also brought us Zed, Thresh and Yasuo. His champions are cool and intricately designed, but due to their interactions are incredibly hard to balance. In that regard she is poorly designed with regards to the health of the game.
Uh Vayne pick by Fnatic, that's pretty interesting.

I didn't know you could flash inside Jarvan R animation without cancelling the cataclysm.
huh, cool.

Jarvan maxing flag instead of shield seems pretty retarded.

Is he actually doing that? Lol, maybe he wants to buff Trist or something.
Lol, Mlxg getting blown up so easily.

Why didn't Caps ult to chase Uzi down?

But yeah, shield first is just better in almost every scenario.

I like that teams are picking vayne tbh. Makes a lot of sense against teams that run double beefy frontline, where irrespective of defensive items, vayne can chunk with just a 3 autos, and kill with 6.
Annnnd then the baron steal.

fnc have never got this far they dont know what to do xd
|
They have to know that they threw that game by not stopping the jarvan.

Annnnd then the baron steal. Vayne is useless compared to tristana and it isn't just the players.

I love how Riot still propogates the "VAYNE LATE GAME" storyline to feed the ego of shitter soloq player egos. The truth is that Vayne spikes at 2 items and becomes progressively worse as the game goes on.

I find it funny that this whole talk and ho-hum about Vayne would never take place if not for one lucky Baron steal. This being said it is so annoying that westerner teams lack balls to finish won games.

Vayne late game crit build will 2/3 shot squishies with Tumbles, it's insanely strong. Will not happen with the way Rekkles built that game though. Vayne does not spike at 2 items only, that's when she starts to really hit hard.

Of course in order to do that Vayne has to walk close to the squishies, by which time she will be dead.
