And NiP doing as everyone expected them to. It is pretty funny how obvious that one was. Their roster and coach decisions could not have been much worse. You would think an experienced esports org like NiP would know better but nope.
Sucks that so much better orgs are in challenger though because they decided to not buy in for whatever reason and because the last cs playoffs went so weirdly.

I THINK the implication is that MM had a mediocre challenger team but bought a spot in EULCS whereas RedBull/S04/etc could have bought the same spot MM did

MM and NiP did not even play in challenger, they bought into LCS. So makes no sense to use that to compare anything.
If you meant to refer to the players not the org, S04 also played way better over the course of cs than FNA or MFA. Playoff semis was the only time S04 even lost a game.

A single match can of not determine which team is better let alone which org.

I mean, if these orgs are supposed to be better and more LCS worthy than NiP/MM they should have qualified instead of failing for their entire existence. S04 got relegated from LCS once already.

They seem to be a team that is pretty close to each other. But yeah they should have made a change a while ago, it is just tough to watch at this point..

For next season they can maybe pick up one of the CS mids from this split like Magifelix.

Their drafts are also questionable so they should consider hiring a new analyst. Don't want to blame their coach yet but the guy needs to step up if they want to maintain their position as 3rd/4th team in Europe.

It's hard from the outside to tell if it's the coach drafting bad comps or the players forcing bad comps with lacking champion pool. Knowing how close UoL is as Redox pointed out I doubt the coach is authoritarian in draft phase. More like Exileh just can't play much and forces certain picks that just don't work. Having mid lane being that huge a liability really hurts the junglers ability to impact the game which then snowballs into other lanes struggling. Really think mid lane is one of if not the most important position to have an "anchor" type of player.
