I remember Surgeon Shen whenever i see CloudTemplar's id.
Also from EDG's diary:
"Deft and Pawn told me: “SKT definitely needs to win /against fnatic), since it will be meaningless for us to win MSI if we don’t beat them in the finals."
Sandbagging was SKT picking out of meta champs for their own skin lineup and skill completely crushing the enemy. Yesterday they were definitely not sandbagging.
So I'm passing time by watching/rewatching vods of the relevant regions taking turns emasculating TSM. On the one hand, sure, it means that NA disrobed and it turned out that NA isn't exactly sexy, but on the other hand I possess a great amount of schadenfreude for TSM. And one of my favourite League-related pleasures will always be Chinese teams making a eunuch out of TSM.

As much hype as MSI is getting, mainly due to TSM getting dunked and Fnatic going to Game 5 vs. SKT, Worlds is going to be the ultimate test of eSports theories regarding infrastructure vs. talent vs. gaming culture.
I wonder if it has hurt TSM scrimming mostly C9. C9 had a weak midlaner making TSM follow a strategy that doesn't work internationally. I remember bjergsen saying that they tried different strategies against c9 but it didnt worked so they focused on what they are strong at. Just thinking that TSM have not enough different good scrim partners could have lead to this desaster.

With the way things are looking, there won't be a single legitimate contender for Worlds that doesn't have at least 1 Korean player.
It's not a terrible strategy. You export players to other regions, make them think they're improving by dropping a few games here and there, and then beat them in the final test with the next edition of new & improved Korean players, who you then export again to replace the old ones that are now outdated. Sort of the strategy they use with smart phones.
But it'd be the ultimate form of shitting on sportsmanship. It's hard to assign such behavior even onto one's enemies.

i dont' really agree we know that fnatic is amazing and a lot of that is attributed to the fact that they've been around for fucking ever in esports. i think the fact that the organization has so much experience is the reason we see them doing so well. none of these other new non-asian orgs are on the same level.

Well none of those orgs imported 2 Koreans, at least as far as EU LCS is concerned.
NA sure, but NA has a lot of other issues regardless.

If EDG crushes SKT --> China No.1 region finally, KR second, TW/EU/NA, then wild card. If EDG barely beats SKT --> China/KR very close, hard to draw any more conclusions. If SKT barely beats EDG --> same as above If SKT crushes EDG --> there's no hope for other regions in League anymore
