THey are just different heroes. Trying to say Ez is better than Varus in 100% of the situations is just silly. They have similar skillsets but are different enough to have slightly different applications.

vlad is pretty niche. he makes up for his lack of mobility with survivability (sustain/invulnerability)

ori has one of the most well rounded kits in the game. she actually has ok mobility with her W anyways.


How is vlad niche when he's gotta be upwards of 80% pick ban in the playoffs

These picks arent meant to force new meta champions, it's to surprise cheese your opponent and mindfuck them for next game's pick&ban. As others have said, varus provides hard cc and nice poke and gives kass a hard time in lane unlike most ap's.
