Because LPL shows that there's a large gap between top and bottom teams and IEM last year shown that bottom LPL teams are pretty bad. This roster was an uknown, last roster had every reason to be considered a huge underdog.

That's why more than half of games in regular season is 1-1 and then favourites choke in playoffs all the time unless you're EDG.
