. It really wasn't that farfetched lol, it was well within the realm of possibility as we saw in the game, and this is literally the FIRST GAME this roster ever played. First game. Ever. Ninja/Styz probably could've won vs. TSM lol. i call straight-up farfetched; 1-8-6 in their region, with 2 new players on their roster, all of this known before going into Katowice pls Against way harder competition. They play against Cool, Pawn, Uzi, Deft, Kryst4l whereas TSM plays against avalon. Not to say WE is stronger than TSM, but that game was definitely a lot closer than a lot of expected. Which indicates NOTHING. If they won against aforementioned players, then sure, that indicates something. Losing against them indicates nothing.
But...they did. They're 1-8-6 not 0-15-0...

There are also tons of Koreans who are "bored" by Korean teams winning every tournament. Damn, guess I'll go back and drink some more Flash fan tears. Gotta tune into church of Trap. The church of Protoss bullshit. Flash played pretty ... though ;_; Hopefully we get a Gambit vs CJ rematch.
Trap lost g4 though ^_^ All hail chargelot/immortal/ht, church of sOs prevailed tonight.
Anyway, let's go WE, for the pride of jacket.

Well the argument is that they didn't really win against CN/KR when it really mattered (that 1 win against SSW and SHRC didn't change the result of anything whatsoever). However, this win against CJ Entus actually matters a lot and they managed to pull it off. Although it's BO1 I'm really impressed.

Freddiew is a famous youtuber who makes amazing videos like funny action shorts, pure action, video game action skits, etc. Has also made VGHS(Video Game High School) which is an internet series that was funded by fans.
Sam and Niko are friends of Freddiew who do the samething.
They also love video games

this is surprising? Are you serious? Top 3 team in Korea just got beat by white guys. Yes, that's surprising. TSM has 3 white guys, one Korean, and one Vietnamese (Canadian)

Because LPL shows that there's a large gap between top and bottom teams and IEM last year shown that bottom LPL teams are pretty bad. This roster was an uknown, last roster had every reason to be considered a huge underdog.

Is there a Liquipedia page for this tournament?

LPL shows nothing like that, lol. That's why more than half of games in regular season is 1-1 and then favourites choke in playoffs all the time unless you're EDG.

how someone could predict WE to beat TSM as the most likely scenario is beyond me
Whereas: TSM vs CJ was favored for CJ, but not lopsidedly so (vs GET absolutely so)
