No one knows the schedule yet but we can assume Friday are the quarter finals (dig vs GGU, CLG vs MRN, SK vs aAa, EG vs Wolves), Saturday are the semis (winners of those four play TSM, Curse, Fnatic, Gambit) and Sundays are 3rd/4th and finals.
MRN finished in 7th place so they don't participate in the playoffs, CLG faces Vulcun in the quarterfinals.
Ah, so this is basically like an MLG or IPL except for teams that got a bye there isn't anything related towards seeding or "circuit points" (like in season 2) on the line. That's too bad. Winning the 50k at the spring playoffs sounds a lot more underwhelming when it doesn't have one of those 3rd parties attached and 50k was the amount 9-10th place made at season 2 worlds. While 50k is nothing to snuff at, would've been nice to see the prize pools increase a bit more for season 3 alongside the growth of League.
So essentially a 10k bonus for the winning team per player, on top of salary... That's pretty damn sweet. 10 weeks doing your job well = 10k bonus, even fourth is a 2k bonus. Admittedly I have no idea what the salary per player / team is... like 30-40k a year pp?
While Riot spends about $175,000 subsidizing each League team and its player salaries...
"“Our stream take was the lowest of all [offers] and our minimum requirement for streaming hours was tied for the lowest. So in terms of prize money take, streaming revenue take, and streaming hours in general, we tend to be the most appealing to players,” Garfield said. “Our prize money take is 10 percent or lower. Whereas a lot of traditional eSports organizations its around 20 and sometimes 30 percent. So our take of the LoL stream revenue was very fair to them in the context of other teams.”"

Popular streamers probably make 150k if you add stream revenue. Even then 10k bonus for 4 months work is a lot.
