It will be inSec trying desperately to keep KT Rolster B within range of the three tournament spots available for Korea later today against former AHQ Korea. I'm really curious exactly how the set-up for qualification stages will be done for each of the regions. Maybe it will be done like this if last year is anything to go by.
Team with the most amount of circuit points from the past three seasons: Bye to the round of eight Team with the second most amount of circuit points from the past three seasons: Guaranteed a spot in the group stages Third to sixth place teams in terms of circuit points recruited: Play-offs that starts from a battle between the bottom two teams out of the four, and works its way up to the top.
If things stay the way things are at the moment (which it won't), things might work out as follows.
Najin Sword: Bye to the round of eight CJ Entus Frost: Guaranteed a spot in the group stages CJ Entus Blaze, KT Rolster B, MVP Ozone, SK Telecom T1 #2: Fight to the death between the four teams.
Does anyone else think that it could be possible that CJ Entus Blaze again theoretically makes it in to the World Championship in terms of circuit points, but gets knocked out by the smallest of margins in the play-offs by the hands of a rising team (SK Telecom T1 #2 perhaps)?

I'm not actually sure. Do we know how Riot is doing the qualifications for KR? Is it going to be OGN Spring combined with OGN Summer or just based off of OGN Summer results?

Everything is pure speculation until Riot actually announces the details of their tournaments ahead of time for once. From the sound of things, it looks like the circuit points from the Winter, Spring, and Summer seasons will be taken into consideration. Najin Sword has the most advantage since they gained a whopping 400 points from winning the Winter Season, then secured themselves an extra 20 points at the very least this season, with a potential to win an additional 100 points if they win the NLB Spring Season (basically a tournament that decides the fifth best team in Korea).
CJ Entus Frost, and CJ Entus Blaze are in pretty good positions too. Whilst one of SK Telecom T1 #2, and MVP Ozone will join into the fray by reaching the finals this season and secure themselves at least 200 points. KT Rolster B really screwed themselves over after a promising performance last season, and will have to make up for the lost points in the remaining games. Who knows what could happen over the next few months? I'm not that keen on CJ Entus Frost, so I'm kind of hoping some other team gets to go this time. Imagine the likes of Flame, Imp, and Faker getting a chance to prove their worth against some of the most respected players in the world. It would be amazing.
Looking forward to the bloodbath that will ensue for the right to represent the region. May the best teams prevail (not CJ Entus Frost ).

Just curious, why aren't you a fan of of Frost? I like them better now that Woong is gone lol. Mostly because of Madlife haha. I probably like Blaze better though. I'm glad KR got the extra spot though, so many talented teams that deserve a shot at Worlds.

I tend to divide professional gamers into to spectrums, those who know how to win well, and those who know how to play well. CJ Entus Frost, in my personal opinion, is a team that knows how to win the best, rather than being the best. I value mechanical skills more than I should, and sound-crisp play that comes with the art of honing a particular element of the game to perfection. That, mixed with mental fortitude at times of trouble because deep down inside they have faith in themselves is my idea of the perfect gamer.
CJ Entus also happen to be by far the most successful team in Korea, one of the oldest, as well as the most popular by a significant margin, which goes against my tendencies as a spectator of trying to discover a talent, and enjoy the process of watching it flourish. It might sound lame, but it gets really old whenever people go on about MadLife. Sure he's great, but it brings me much more joy trying to find a player just as good as he is, but doesn't get tenth of the praise.

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. I'm more of a fan of big stars but that might be because I'm a patron of traditional sports as well which revolves around big personalities.

I know Cpt Jack and Lustboy have had some early game issues as of late, but I'm under the impression they are still stronger than Space and Muse. And then even if Space and Muse are better there is the whole issue of having them develop the team synergy with the rest of Blaze.

Hey guys, I'm new here. This place seems to have by far the best discussion of the game and pro scene, especially of the Korean scene (which is what I mainly follow since I live here.) Unfortunately I won't be able to watch tonight's games live, but I have a feeling that SKT might be too good for Ozone. Ozone were red-hot against KTB and I imagine it would be hard for them to maintain that level of energy, especially after the all-star break. But we'll see. I do feel though that SKT stands the best chance in the final against either of the CJ Entus teams.

Letmelose I don't know if you just recently started posting here or if you I missed your previous posts but I just wanna say you're one of my favourite posters now, always so insightful on the Korean league. Cheers.
And welcome Baekgom84. I think TL's definitely the best place for English LoL fans to discuss the Korean scene.
