They didn't have much choice seeing that Cait hit her lategame during Vayne's barely-midgame. Lategame Cait is probably better than lategame Vayne. At the very least, she is safer and will reliably do damage even if she gets a bad engage (see all fights).
Explain to me how Fnatic did not has much choices? Cait were ahead but not that ahead (she was up 30cs compare to vayne) at the time of the mid tower dive. That dive made no sense at all while you can just split push all day with a farmed Shen(Shen was like 1 kill ahead of Irealia and up in cs too)
Fnatic dove cait and failed, resulting in a full blow 5v5. Vayne wasn't that far behind in CS, but cait didn't buy any Dorans and had already PD+IE. Vayne at that point had only PD and a BF. So Vayne wasn't behind in gold that much, but a lot in items. Actually you might even say, that this is a result of peke dying to Baron. He lost stacks afterwards and had to replenish them by using feast. If feast would have been availble in the engagement, maybe they could have managed to bring down cait and turned the fight and the game in their favour.
Cait was pretty ahead in CS.
That and just rushing attack speed kind of dumb even if you maxing Vayne W. Just having a BT and Zeal instead more damage.
They should let Doublelift and Scarra talk more in these things. I mean we get to hear Phreak's opinion on things for hours on end. Need more of that pro perspective.

You do know, that phreak got diamond in s2 right? He's not pro, but not dumb either.

Yeah, but read what he says again: Phreak talks to us for the whole match, because he commentates it. Yeah, we know he knows the game, but he is definitely not a pro, and they have different viewpoints. We already know Phreak's, because he commentated the game.

He didn't call him dumb; he just said that we've already been listening to him for the last 2 hours. It's more interesting to listen to the others now.

As someone who plays vayne often I can tell you pd is better.Vayne's attack animation isn't very good and you really need the atk speed to make it more fluent. And since everyone goes for you 24/7 extra ms is always nice :D.
The biggest difference between LoL players and SC2 players is obvious during this interview. Doublelift showing no class, no grace and adding nothing good to the interview. Scarra on the other hand is representing his team professionally, while providing the same level of information.
SC2 players have for whatever reason by and large already learned how to be professional while still showing personality, with a few exceptions. League seems to be the other way around so far, with most players not acting professional and the ones that do being the exception.

I get this feeling dignitas will happily jump down scarra's throat if he steps the wrong line while CLG are going to be much more liberal with doublelift.

Yeah sure.
Lol players in general are leagues ahead of sc2 players when it comes to interviews etc.

They didn't have much choice since Caitlyn was at least 1 major item ahead of Vayne at all times, and WE was pressing their advantage by pushing towers. WE can easily overwhelm fights because of Amumu and Eve so Fnatic needed to defend their pushes 5v5. Therefore, their best option was always to catch Caitlyn out and initiate, which they did everytime. It stopped working once Weixiao got Negatron which allowed him to survive the burst and Fnatic had no answer once Weixiao flashed/netted out of the initial burst (in the last few teamfights) and smashed the crap out of their divers, while Amumu and Eve flanked and raped their backline.
The other choice is a more definite loss for Fnatic as they give up turrets and objectives and probably get flanked and caught out by Eve anyway, and Caitlyn gets even more ahead.

Yeah from getting carried in ranked 5s
Phreak was a top LoL player before he worked for Riot, he also got two or three accounts into the top 1000 s1 and at least plat on two in s2?
I mean, he's definitely better than every other caster at this game except maybe Dan Dinh.

which is obvious since Doublelift's boss is essentially Hotshot who is just as immature and Scarra's is Odee, a scene veteran who cares about his team's reputation the most^^

Well LoL is a team game so you cant elaborate the whole team in a short amount of time, while if you ask someone about someone in SC2, its pretty much the personal experience and that makes it much more accurate. Also, you can't interview top players in SC2 that much cos they are all Korean while in LoL it doesn't come to that point yet -_-.
