Keep the rage to a minimum. This includes wait times between games, music, and balance.
Fair warning to all. |

Both teams agreed to it.

There are definitely going to be some downsides to have all the teams on Riot's payroll. Time to make myself a new tinfoil hat for Season 3.

It's also helped by the fact that the crowd was visibly more supportive of CLG.Eu. Honestly, this is another one of the problems I have with the booth-less venue and the "crowd interaction" argument. It's a western crowd--they will be VASTLY more supportive of the Western teams (this should have been clear to anyone from the vastly louder cheers for M5 and TSM on day 2). Exposing teams to crowd interaction is exposing them to the crowd bias--which will have a noticeable effect on teams' morale, and therefore, the outcome of the game. You can't blame the crowd for preferring their home teams, but setting up the venue in such a way that exposes the teams to that so directly isn't fair.
I honestly doubt that's it, we (as in the western crowd) are a lot more used to seeing clg.eu play.
I'm fairly certain that when M5 first came out, they weren't too well known over here, but now that they've won multiple tourney's and made a name for themselves, they have a large fan base. Once the asian teams start playing in more games, once they start winning tournaments, people will start cheering for them too.

They get a break during the M5 vs TPA game. Plus the winner is going into the next series fresh off a win with their spirits probably pretty high whereas Frost will be coming in cold. And besides both WE and CLGeu have been to LANs where they play way more than two bo3 in a single day. It sucks that it works out that way but I don't think it's only disadvantages (although the cons likely outweigh the pros).

Riot already said that 5 PM was as early as they could start doing this. AFAIK, they don't even get the venue until Wednesday when they'll be spending a ton of time setting up for Saturday. The games are going to all take place in some random back room, which they'll have to set up during the day while also trying to get set up for the weekend.

Yes it would take so long for an army of technical engineers to set up 10 PC's...well, in a tournament world maybe.
How many of us can packup, move and setup our PC's in under 10 minutes?
Hell..who can strip, clean and rebuild it in under an hour?
But hey, let them spend 5 hours setting up 10 PC's why dont we ^_^ or maybe the players are diva's, MY DPI IS NOT 2599, IT IS 2600, BY THE GODS I REFUSE TO PLAY!
We'll never know :o

You don't know what time they get the venue. They might not get the venue until 12 PM or later. And after what happened on Saturday they're not just gonna set up ten PCs, get the casters set up, and then jump into it and just hope that they don't have hardware failures and/or internet connectivity issues. If I was Riot I'd probably want to spend a few hours ensuring that everything is stable and that issues like what happened on Saturday won't happen again.

We'll never know :o It's not 10 PCs they need to set up. They are planning to stream this live, there is a lot more to do than just hook up 10 PCs and then press play lol.

Pro sports teams play in hostile stadiums all the time (huehue Yankees at a Fenway game), the World Cup has even crazier crowds, and even the Olympics are held in a single country that obviously gets crowd advantage. None of this has hurt major sports except when mobs of fans start rioting... which is hardly a threat for the esports scene atm.
There *are* issues with going boothless (team communication, crowd reaction leaking information, and now screen hacking HAH) but protecting feelings isn't one of them.

so only the last game? its really not easy to get any real information about this....

So wait, is the allegations against azubu hold any water? or is it mostly bullshit?

Yes from the sounds of it it will be a continuation of the bo3 between them. So 1-1. Curious if they have to use the same champions too. Either way, nice to see they have it rescheduled.

My understanding is they have it Wednesday through Saturday, are setting up the stage, audio, etc on Wed-Fri and snuck the games they have to finish in on Wednesday.

I want to see blind pick Anivia vs TF, but it won't happen :<
