I know that many US people also get screwed over with EU-based tournaments, but it still sucks pretty badly. Isn't EU their biggest player base? Or does Riot want to be able to have live viewers in SEA/Korea/China?
I believe Riot said they don't get access early enough to the venue to play the matches earlier in the day which is why they are starting at 5:00 PST Wednesday. I don't believe it was on purpose, I may be wrong though just what I read on the forums from red posts.

Ah. Guess it'll just be VoDs for me then. I was already a bit disappointed because the finals were at a bad time for us EU guys too.

I'm sad it's only a Bo1 for CLG.Eu vs WE, has it been a Bo3 I would have been garanteed to catch the entire Azubu vs TBD series by waking up at 7 and a half CEST or smth like that.
Only 1 bo3 gets effected by technical difficulties and the whole event turns into a train wreck? then what would you call all the sc2 events that have had lag and disconnect problems let alone the ones that have any major technical problems.
