That would be called a "contingency plan", Business 101 Rape victim should've had a gun on her. Contingency plan, obviously. wtf is wrong with you I'm not actually serious. I can't believe how surprised Riot was by having a championships. They totally were caught unawares.

I have no hope for the future. Oh come on. LoL isn't a classic LAN game. It's pretty much an MMO. Having LAN as a standard feature makes no sense. But it makes sense to have LAN for their own usage, for example whe they are hosting WC. Shure, but I'm talking about LAN as a standard feature for everybody. Only the skin/runes part are MMO. But the crux of the game is 5v5 or 3v3 that ends in around 30 minutes. It is just like your old usual RTS like WC3/CnC/AoE. It is not one continuous long game spanning hundreds of hours.... Yeah, but wc3/dotA didn't have skins to buy, which is the point Hats bro, not skins. Leave skins for the LoL guys.

I have no hope for the future. Oh come on. LoL isn't a classic LAN game. It's pretty much an MMO. Having LAN as a standard feature makes no sense. It makes sense when Riot are trying to make pushes for LoL being the biggest ESPORT. They're trowing in a multi-million dollar prize pool but can't get insurance in basic features of competitive games that allow them to run without these kinds of delays. Sure, LAN may never be used by people who don't play competitively, but that's no excuse (besides, I'd play LAN with friends when we're on vacation and have to deal with mountain internet). I'm not talking about LAN for events, I'm talking about LAN as a feature for everybody. It just makes little sense for them to do it. That's what we're talking about. These kind of problems have literally been happening for years now. In-game pause for reconnect was supposed to be the first step to fixing this, but Riot apparently thought that was good enough and hasn't progressed beyond that.

That's not the definition of contingency dude, aside from the fact that you're comparing rape to a profitable venture. There needs to be a report stupid button or something.

With that in mind they can't resume anything imo. It's even riskier if the DC happens when M5 are 3-man towerdiving 15mins in. The DC are guaranteed to result in deaths which means they can't load.

But she should have had something to defend herself! I mean, it's small investment of 600 dollars, and it only take a trip to the gunstore, and a background check. Poor comparison. In the first place if a girl (Riot) goes to a place where 'incidents' are known to happen (Dallas, Blizzard's FUs) wearing little clothes (with no contigency which seems to be the current view), then she is really really stupid. Not guilty from point of law maybe, but definitely stupid. Sadly the world isn't kind to either of them.

Dude it's all business model, if they logically concluded that going pay to play would net them more profits they would've went with it. Also charging money to see a gaming tournament is SO RETARDED, they don't even do that for the olympics, world cup, nba finals or WHATEVER. Also Blizzard saying oh since this is our game, every tournament that streams online needs to give us a percentage of the income is fucking stupid too. I mean who was the judge that decided this? Prolly got bought out or didn't want to give the case to the Koreans.
