I think I've seen Saint buy Aegis 100% of the time on Trundle, for example, in tournament games. Definitely can't fault him for buying Aegis. As far as Wriggle's vs. double gp10, the value is quite similar--with one or the other being better based on how much time you get to farm jungle vs. needing to help your lanes (which were all in pretty rough shape on Dignitas' side). The fact that Jatt didn't get to build damage after that is arguably more because of how behind Dignitas was at that point, and not the fact that he chose to build gp10/Aegis first. If he cookie-cuttered into a Wriggles->DPS item build, he would have died every fight before being able to do any damage. Skarner's stronger late game than anything else that team had lategame. A fed Skarner's going to do more in a teamfight than a fed plank or a fed Ez, especially with Zilean ult. Maybe it's because I've learned a lot about jungling from watching Saint, but you're wasting Skarner if you play him in a support role. It's like how I believe supportish Noct was dumb and farm all day Noct was superior in every case. If you're going to play jungle like OddOne or Jatt do you just shouldn't pick some junglers. | ||

Are you watching Saint in solo queue or in scrims/tournament games? Because even Saint in competitive situation builds defensively, tanks out, and buys supportive defense items like Aegis. You can't build the way you would in solo queue in competitive games. | ||

if you put all the gold he had into that game into damage items, he would've have wriggles, triforce and merc treads at the end of the game. he would have died in less than 5 hits to tristana, wouldn't be able to take q's from karthus without having to heal. etcetc.... only saintvicious builds skarner dps OddOne in all him games of skarner (solo queue though) goes wriggles -> boots -> hog -> mercs -> shurelias -> aegis/randuins | ||
