Please don't make commentary on how programming works when you clearly have no grasp of it.

Bugs are 100% guaranteed when you add or change features of anything, especially something still unreleased.

That is my point. Riot puts out new champions every other week, they add stuff that makes them money. But when it comes down to adding/fixing/improving something that doesn't make them money, there seems to be a lack of attention.

The switch bug happened every single game, I am not a programmer, or even know how to programming, but I am preeeeeeeeeeeeeetty sure, you're supposed to test common things after you "add or change" features.

Are you saying that Riot crashed the servers on purpose so TSM would lose?

What? How did you even get that out of what I said? Having their server crash isn't Riots fault somehow? I am pretty sure it is.

You said it was "tarnished with something Riot did."

What did Riot do?

Riot doesn't control their own servers? Riot's spectator mode didn't crash every time people swapped thus having to make blind pick every game? I don't understand how these problems weren't Riots fault

It's obviously Riots fault but the way you present it as "tarnished" generally implies crookedness, as if Riot did it on purpose. Obviously that isn't what you meant though but I think that is what Ferrose is trying to say.

Ahh maybe tarnished was the wrong word, it just simply meant that they've done something to hurt their reputation or make themselves look bad.

You do test them, but the first lesson you learn in programming is that deployment is always different than your test and beta servers. Issues will always come up in the live environment that were not evident in the test environment. And when they do come up at a tourney like this, you can't just "fix it". It takes new code that then needs to be tested and redeployed. It's more complicated than you'd think. If it was so easy to release bug-free software, then everyone would do it. However, that never happens.

Yes, but that is my entire point.

Their prorities are wrong. I don't want to start a DOTA/HoN vs LoL etc, but even in beta stage, DOTA was better by the end of the tournament than LoL, and I have never seen HoN crash.

I wouldn't agree with priorities being wrong. They are a company, not charity foundation. LoL seemed to have superior business model and releasing champs/skins often is a part of this model so it's obvious they DO focus on doing it.

Sorry for not following the "whats good for esports" talk but the truth is companies will do what's good for their finances, not what's good for esports - unless ofcourse supporting esports = more money for them but i don't think i have to mention this

Well obviously but you don't announce a 5 million dollar season of your game, and then at the first huge viewing of your game afterwards, your game crashes 101010 times and 40 minutes into Game 3 of the Grand Finale. It just seems silly. DOTA2 first viewing of their game (IN BETA) had a rocky start with crashes and stuff (they had a save feature so there was never any risk of losing a game, only having to restart), but by the end it was crash free. There really is no damn excuse to not having a working spectator/replays/save/pause, whether you think there is one or not.

Lol, yeah. But what do you expect from LoL gamers? I mean the esports scene for LoL has pretty much only just begun. You can't expect a "I would like to congratulate TSM for a fantastic finals. They played brilliantly and it was unfortunate that the last game had to end like that. Thank you to all our fans and sponsors"

I wonder if part of the reason for the Urgot pick was so he can split farm with Nocturne since Urgot relies on a spell to do most of his damage, he doesn't need as much pure AD items as other carries. It seems the way CLG split up farm, having Noct take as much as the carries was a lot better for the team in the end than TSM who gave all the farm to cait but left GP kind of useless compared to Noct.

I don't think that's really an issue. I mean TSM and CLG have scrimmed each other a lot in the past few weeks, and it isn't as if one dominated the other in any of the 3 games.

A big issue for EG next week is that westrice was on vacation until this weekend, and they haven't practiced as much because of Salce with CLG.

I still hope they do strong just to see Dyrus #1 singed.

Jiji, you got to ditch PAX and come to MLG next week.

It's a moral imperative!

How can you give this up?

Yeah, jiji played crazily well to sub in for Chauster. It was interesting how he was confident enough in his AD carries to decide to find an AP sub rather than a direct AD sub, probably because jiji felt he was significantly superior to anyone they could find.

Don't know how true this is but I heard that IEM's servers were having issues at the event. So I'd be a bit cautious before placing blame as it's possibly Riot had no hand in the crash. We'll just have to wait for more info.

They had already talked about how they don't like his passive. They didn't like that you got defensive stats from his offensive items it caused scaling issues. Same reasons they change Kayle.

Yet, they don't seem to have a problem with vlad's passive. :/
