I've tried the match-up 3 times, twice at 1500'ish and once at 1700. I won all 3 times. I guess the darius' i played versus must be really bad, cus i seemed to have no trouble as long as i didn't get ganked. Try and make small trades at 5, 6,7 and 9 where u Q -> E -> auto -> W -> auto. As long as you don't overcommit and die to silly things or make stupid moves that puts him ahead in xp he shouldn't be a problem.

Pre-6 all you have to do is just not die and try to keep up in farm - then do auto-w harass sometimes. Post-6, as long as you have some decent health, you should be able to all-in him everytime he's in jumprange by hitting a creep twice and jumping to him (I'm fairly sure he can't charge passive stacks from autos when your e is up).

Jax really feels like he wins any sort of sustained trade as long as both champs are even in gold. Darius has the capability to dunk Jax if he can burst through all his health at once, but he can't really stand and trade, or keep up with leaps and stuns. I don't know the mechanics, since it's been a while since I played either, but I don't think there's much Darius could do if Jax plays as good or even slightly better.

Beating Darius is all about knowing when to commit. And when you do commit, you have to make E and R count to minimize the damage you take. Post 6, Jax's burst is as good as Darius with his Q and passive.

Oh, also, Jax Jungle. Played it a few times, played against it a few times. Huge carrying potential if your opponents don't know what wards are (many mids/tops don't at 1200). I was doing core of Cutlass/Phage/Merc's in whatever order, then working towards TF or game end, going WEQ or EQW (depending on level 2 gank or not) into max R>W>Q>E. What are other people doing for jungle builds and skills?

I open E but max W > E > Q and I usually get a Lantern first on Jax. Cutlass probably works too, but in the interest of fairness, I don't like to give Jax a real weapon.

Jungling jax I personally prefer 9/14/7 or 9/12/9. The mana masteries in utility help a lot when you don't have blue buff, especially considering the expense of counterstrike.

As for the darius vs jax discussion, I personally go (W/Q)>(Q/W)>E>W>W>R. It's so vitally important to have counterstrike early so that if darius whiffs a Q/pulls, it's possible for you to jump onto him and Q>E+auto>W>auto>stun> walk away/go for the kill.

I would assume that it's to do with the autoattack resets(W) not working properly. He's not useless per se but his damage/burst is definitely lower than it was before.

its not only him but champions like darius, xin, renekton got "nerfed" by that bug too (is it confirmed by riot its unintentional change?)

auto reset on fiora and naut seems to work fine, which is weird, haven't tested it on jax yet

my biggest issue with jax is that it seems he needs to get his first big item (gunblade/triforce?) before he's relevant in the game, so squishy without ult and not as much dps as i'd like (JUNGLE JAX, i'm referring to)

maybe i'm just building him wrong though

Jax murders people with no weapon!

A big thing is realizing that your E scales damage off of dodges, and that W (used to?) auto reset and has a very short cooldown. If you're missing out on W resets and getting every possible W in as well by walking past targets and stuff, then obviously your damage is going to feel very lackluster. Jax's damage is all about the W resets and ult procs so landing AAs is crucial (as opposed to Darius qweqr)

how are you guys building jax these days? Like what would a sample build be. Should I be going heavy AD bruiser, or Hybrid, or what.

I think most people still favor triforce gunblade into tankiness or triforce into tankiness.

I think Jax is fine more as a tanky AD. I don't like his AP ratios that much because while they provide burst, I don't think the provide as much sustained damage. A 3s cooldown and a ratio on every third auto is still worse than damage on every attack. I just tried phage for the passive, wriggles for lifesteal and faster csing, Negatron so I'm not forgetting MR, and then GA because I love the passive.
